“What a great experience. Highly recommended to book the room with balcony with mountain view. What a blissful sense of peace! The hotel is in front of Allmendhubel ski lift and 2 min away from Birg/Schilthorn gondola. Couldn't be better placed. Room was small but clean and warm. Personnel was nice in the extreme. “I usually try to stay close to whatever transport hub I’m using. But the were no rooms available in Interlaken, so I had to look further afield and happened upon a gem I would never have expected to find. Set on the mountain side with a view of Lake Thun and the Jungfrau mountains right there in front of your own private balcony. An amazing view. The room was compact but very clean. My only quibble was that bed had a footboard which is always a problem for tall people. The bus stop is right...
