“This place is in such an ideal setting. Everything is as advertised. Private hot spring included in the rental was awesome and private. Host was very helpful as well. Highly recommend”

“The Hilltop House is a special place. The views from the house in winter are magical. Watching the various shades of pink come in over the bay to the East while sipping coffee was a daily highlight. Sitting in our own geothermal hot tub while watching the Northern Lights dance is something our boys will never forget. The host is very responsive. Having the Hvammsvik springs a few hundred meters away was awesome, we visited those springs twice and stopped by the restaurant each night for a drink....

“This place was simply amazing! There was a very small issue with our booking and instead of staying in the lake house we were moved to the hilltop house and all I can say is WOW! The property in general is just incredible with 360 degree views. The hot springs were so relaxing. The hilltop house sits on a hill and you can’t get enough of the scenery. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner (no microwave which was fine) and we had plenty of space with our family of four....

“Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön: geschmackvoll, komfortabel und mit herrlichem Blick auf den See, den wir jeden Tag aufs Neue genossen haben. Mitten im Golden Circle gelegen, kann man von hier aus viel erkunden. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Es war eine tolle Zeit, wir haben uns rundherum sehr wohl gefühlt! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.”

“The home was great for a family stay. Everything was supplied in the kitchen, baths, and living areas. The views were fantastic, great privacy, and comfortable beds. Fabulous kitchen, open and easy to accommodate a large party. The only things that need attention are the grill which was broken, and the dryer did not put out enough heat to actually dry any clothes, we hung ours, but we had this issue in all three homes we rented in Iceland. Overall, great place and we would rent it again.”

“Our stay at the Lake Palace was wonderful. The home is beautifully situated, spacious, and well equipped. The host was very accommodating and provided a crib and high chair for us to use for our little one. Soaking in the hot tub with a view of the mountains was an incredible way to unwind after a day of hiking. We highly recommend staying here!”

"nice hotel close to the city centre; comfortable mid space room. good to have a coffee machine. pay attention to ask to the reception if you eant the room to be redone. Unfortunately, they forgot to mention during the check in, so I was not aware of...anyway not a big deal staying only 1 night. Price a little bit too high"

I will come back if I have a chance.
"Hotel is clean, modern look with fine common areas. Good breakfast with correct quality ingredients. Very gentle staff, quick check-in and check out. Rooms are well equipped even if a bit small in size. Wi-Fi working well everywhere in the building and without interruptions. Heating system fine and easily adjustable. Just the extractor fan, always on, in bathroom is a bit noisy, but with door closed is solved. Overall was a Quiet experience. A pizzeria just besides the hotel is highly recommended because of food quality! "
