This spacious carriage house is very welcoming and comfortable. The host welcomed us and gave us instructions for entering and tour of every thing. Very comfortable backyard space to sit and relax. It is situated close to the harbour and the highway for our wine touring adventure. The bed is so comfy you feel so snug. All amenities were available at this property. We would recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

Super Stay

Our accommodations were excellent. The carriage house was cozy and very welcoming. We were visiting our sister and brother-in-law who live in a retirement home in Nanaimo. It was so nice to bring them to 'our home' on a number of occasions to have some lunches and BBQ'd dinners. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had whatever we needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in Nanaimo.

Stay for swimming competition

Joanne and Bryan's property was excellent. It worked well for our family and so close to the Aquatic Center. Excellent friendly hosts and a beautiful place. We would stay here again for sure. Thanks Bryan and Joanne for your warm hospitality! swimming.

Lovely place!

We loved our stay here! The unit is decorated in beautiful wood furniture, cozy recliner couches, and an extremely comfortable bed in the master bedroom! It was very spacious for our little family, has TONS of storage, and the pull down bed in the utility room was an added bonus. The kitchen was large and fully equipped, and the very private deck was so nice to use. I just wish we could have stayed longer, and we certainly won’t hesitate to book here again. 10/10!

Large and Private Property

Wonderfully clean, and well-equipped. Large rooms, good parking, great TV with lots of channels. The location is north of the city, and the cottage is somewhat dark, otherwise all was OK.

This Place is a Gem

My stay at this VRBO property was absolutely fantastic! The house was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, with modern amenities that made my stay comfortable and needing nothing. The location was ideal, and situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Joanne and Bryan were extremely attentive and welcoming, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a memorable stay. I especially enjoyed the outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying morning coffee; I even did some meal prep out there one morning. I can assure you, all the other reviews are accurate as well, and I recommend staying in this gem of a guest house, without any hesitation. Can’t wait to return.

Guesthouse review

The property seemed brand new and fulfilled all of our expectations. We had a wonderful stay. The only very small challenge was water temperature control in the shower. Took some time to get warm and then all of a sudden it got ice cold. Very minor issue.

Perfect getaway/ Perfect hosts

We were welcomed by the hosts when we arrived and they immediately felt like our friends. Thank you for the chats in the yard and the bonus glasses of wine. The guest house is equipped with everything you need and the private back deck is lovely to sip coffee on in the morning. The bed is very comfy too. Our main purpose was to watch our son play baseball at Serauxmen Stadium. The location was perfect for that and pretty much 10-15 minutes away from all things Nanaimo. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

Home Away From Home

Everything was as good as we could have hoped for and better. We were in Nanaimo for several days to watch the BC HIgh School Track Championships where our granddaughter was competing. The location was excellent, the hosts were fantastic and the accommodation was perfect! It was so nice to spend time on the private patio at the end of each day. We will stay again if we are ever back in Nanaimo!

We came to Nanaimo to host a workshop for health care practitioners. This was a great place to stay, very clean comfortable, spacious. Good location for our needs. The bed was also comfortable!
