Southern Charm: Home is minutes from downtown w/a cozy sitting porch

Beautifully furnished historic cottage in a highly desirable location! Easily walk to all Germantown attractions including the new Sounds baseball stadium, many of Nashville's finest restaurants and nightlife, Farmers Market, and Bicentennial Mall. During your visit, you might want to check out 2nd avenue and catch some live country music and eat at one of the many unique to Nashville restaurants on Broadway or take a short drive to the famous Loveless Cafe to enjoy an amazing meal.

This 1920s cottage is great for a long weekend or extended stay because of our washer/dryer set and amazing dine-in kitchen. The kitchen provides simple pantry items like salt, pepper, spray oil, coffee, cream, and sugar as well as all the pots, pans, and cooking utensils needed for a quick breakfast before heading out. Within walking distance is Kroger. Lounge on the front porch with one of our books, enjoy one of the three smart TVs, or bring your own device to connect to our high-speed WIFI. A notebook with information on WiFi, check-out instructions, and local restaurants is in the living room.

Parking - We offer plenty of parking options, from public street parking to our private parking lot behind the cottages. Our parking lot is located off Taylor Street, down the alley on the right. Please refrain from parking on the grass.

Location - The home is 20 minutes from BNA airport and is a simple drive or uber away. Looking for transportation? Bus routes? Uber or Lyft rates? Use 312 Pizza address for rates in this area:

Early Check-in/ Late Check-out - If you are needing an early check-in or late check-out please reach out to the host before your trip begins so we can best accommodate you. Fees may apply. The maximum number of guests per house is 6. Due to the age of the house and plumbing we can not accolade any additional guests. Thank you for complying.

Local Area - Our cottages are located about a mile and a half from downtown Nashville and 2nd avenue. Within walking distance of our cottages, is Butchertown Hall, a unique restaurant that you can see from our front porches on 4th Avenue. Barista Parlor, a coffee shop, and 312 Pizza company are also recommended and close to the cottages. Within a few minutes drive of the area is the entertainment venue Topgolf.

Contactless Check-In and Out - Our contactless check-in process is simple. We will send you a message on VRBO with the exact address and a key code usually day of your check-in. Contactless check-out is easy as well, just leave clean dishes drying, used towels in the washer, and take out the trash.

Having a family reunion? We have 3 cottages all close enough to host your large family get-together! Please send us a message and we will let you know our multi-home pricing.

If you choose the $1500 deposit option over the insurance policy it will be collected at the time of booking and returned within 30 days of booking.

There is a minimum $25 left item fee for all guests who would like their left items returned to them. Additional charges may apply.

The location was perfect and the home was very comfortable. The bathroom was fairly tight, but doable. The faucets in the shower were very difficult to coordinate. It seemed to take a long time to control the temperature of the water. A suggestion might be that they also leave some teabags. Each time I wrote a question to Sara and Rowan, they responded right away.

Rooms were comfortable; bathroom was very tight. All rooms were very clean. Tankless hot water heater was too small to handle water flow to bath tub making it impossible to take warm bath or to adequately control water temperature while taking a shower. Appreciated access to washer and dryer for doing laundry.

It was a cute little home and the beds were comfortable. Great location with easy access to everywhere we went. It all needed a deep cleaning, especially the bathroom. There's also a soft spot in the bathroom floor that will need attention before something happens.

Just wow! I felt like I was in my grandma’s home fully remodeled for today’s times. Sara and Rowan have a gem in this home and the location is ideal for walking; even to downtown.The beds were so cozy and comfortable, and the front porch was inviting for morning coffee. They even left a welcome basket of snacks that were happily eaten. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and was easily accessible. We even enjoyed Sunday football on all three tv’s. Ha! The place was immaculately clean and nostalgically reminiscent of my childhood days.Checkout was easy and efficient. Parking and check in/out was efficient and easy.I will check here first when returning to Nashville.Thank you for a fabulous experience!

Great little old charm place centrally located in a walkable yuppy area. The beds and linens were comfortable. The shower knobs were an issue for us too, it was difficult to adjust hot water properly and to turn the water off. I’d recommend that the owner resolve that issue since several guest have mentioned it. Cleanliness was ok , but we gave 4 stars because the front porch needed attention with cob webs. The owner had coffee and plenty of dishes to cook light meals. We really enjoyed our stay at this little cottage.

The location in Germantown is great, with walking distance proximity to cafes, bars, restaurants, parks, etc. We admired some of the charm in this restored house, such as the original hardwood floors, glass door knobs, etc. The updated HVAC worked very well. However, the bathroom is just the opposite. I was scalded by the shower, which after running a minute at the proper temp turned super hot. When we called the host, she agreed it is a problem, said "it's old," and referred us to the info book in the living room. We did not know it was there. A note on the bathroom wall is needed. But even the instruction about the shower was inadequate. The instant water heater is great, but way too hot, given the danger of the inadequate controls. Given the cost of the unit, the owner needs to install a new water control valve and shower diverter.When I also mentioned excessive black mold in the tile grout, the owner sent her maintenance man to spray it. Whatever he used was ineffective, even after he scrubbed it. I recommended full strength beach or Tilex. He came back later and it helped, but the mold did not totally disappear. A simple retiling is needed. And perhaps the painted-over wall light above the sink could be replaced. One additional observation: Although the description of the kitchen does not include garbage disposal or dishwasher, it would be better if the list specifically said "no garbage disposal" and "no dishwasher."

It was a nice small house in the very popular area of Germantown. The private parking lot in back of the house had plenty of free parking. We went to ten restaurants in the area by foot. The only drawback we had was trying to figure out the shower.

This cottage was perfect for our short stay in Nashville. It was very close to downtown. The neighborhood was super cute and quite. The cottage it self was very clean and having its own parking lot was a huge plus. We had an issue with the original door code but the owner was very easy to get ahold of and fixed the issue right away. Highly recommend! Would definitely stay again!
