Upon arriving at the airport at night, we called & were told multiple times that the shuttle ran on its own & we didn’t need to request it. After waiting for almost an hour, we called & were told that we had to request it beforehand, so we waited an additional 30 minutes for the driver to arrive.
The check-in process was fine, but when we arrived to our room, there was an odor similar to mildew. We were hungry so we only went to the room briefly at first because we were trying to make it to dinner before the on-site restaurant closed.
When we made it back to the room, it still smelled, but we weren’t exactly sure if that was due to the condition of the hotel or if there was truly something wrong. Later that night, we realized the carpet was soaking wet, which is where the smell came from.
The next morning, the AM worker let us know that the room we were booked in was actually not open because there was a problem from the previous attendants. We let her know about the odor, but she could not understand why the PM worker booked us into that room because it was not supposed to be available for booking.
They booked us into another room after the hassle, but there was no type of compensation for the previous night for the major inconvenience we experienced.
There was a major lack of cleanliness & the breakfast quality was poor. There is one waffle maker so due to the amount of guests, you can be waiting anywhere from 15-20 minutes for a waffle.
This hotel needs some work!
