    This 2-bedroom, 1½-bathroom vacation rental features:

Our stay was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 4:00 p.m. expecting the property to be clean and ready for check-in. Instead, the house had NOT been cleaned. The host had to call a cleaner after we arrived, and we were not able to get into the property until approximately 9:00 p.m., causing us to lose about five hours of our stay.Once we finally entered, we discovered multiple roaches inside the property, along with visible fungal/mold-like growth and other cleanliness concerns. We documented the conditions with photos and immediately communicated our concerns.Because of the condition of the property, we ultimately left after less than 12 hours and had to find alternative accommodations. This was not a minor housekeeping issue. We had already waited hours to access a property that should have been ready at check-in, only to find roaches and other sanitation concerns once we got inside.The host’s communication afterward was also extremely frustrating. On multiple occasions, statements were made about the property’s condition and cleaning that did not match what we personally experienced or documented. We have photos and messages supporting what occurred.Guests should be able to expect a rental to be clean, ready at check-in, and reasonably maintained. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I would not stay at this property again and cannot recommend it to other travelers.
