Vacanze Navy Gardens

We recently stayed here on our visit to Barbados for a week. The hotel is still brand new so it is nice. Very conveniently located and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Would have given the hotel all 5 stars, but we ran into a few issues with our rooms. The check in process was quick, easy and the staff are some of the nicest people we have met. The first night was fine with no issues, however we ended up running into several issues with the key card reader to our room. We really liked the room we got, but they ended up having to move us to another room since they couldn't fix the door/key card reader. Wasn't much fun having to pack our stuff up again and move rooms, but we stayed positive about it. The second room ended up having it's own issues, as the sensors for the lights must be set at 45 seconds before all of the lights shut off and leave you in the dark (I counted). You could use lights that were not connected to sensors; however it was a pain with the lights going on and off very frequently. It seems that this hotel being brand new still has a few electrical issues to work out, but overall it is a very nice hotel and we had a great view no matter what!

We understood that it was not peak vacation time in Barbados, but the resort was empty. The resort did not conduct any activities they had listed for the pool or the beach. No music being played - very low key. Restaurant choices very limited and one night there was even same menu two nights in a row. Very limited buffets. LOVED the staff at the spa! Definitely visit. The room was beautiful - very spacious and the view was wonderful.

It was an amazing vacation however the food service was extremely slow multiple times . Breakfast would be finished and the drinks never showed up. That happen twice. You order a sandwich and it took 45-1 hour multiple times throughout the week .

This is a really nice resort. I stayed here within its first month open. It was so worth it. Everything was modern and chic. My room was large and spacious with an ocean view. One of the staff members told me that I had the best room on the resort! I agreed, I could see everything from my room! The food was phenomenal, especially the steakhouse and the restaurant near the beach. Room service could use work but it didn’t bother me too much as I was Diamond Club and my butlers were top notch! The Spa? OMG the spa was niceee lol. Enjoyed the hydrotherapy and the rooftop infinity pool. The service and attention that I received is out of this world! The staff were absolutely amazing and super accommodating. I do not have anything to complain negatively about regarding my stay. Hello to all of the Jesse’s in the Diamond Club checking me in - they were so welcoming! Ria in housekeeping was so pleasant and a breath of fresh air! However, the stars of the show were my butlers Waneisha and Kianna! OMG these girls! Absolutely amazing! They make Royalton look GOOD! Waneisha was my absolute angel and she knows why! Thank you so much Waneisha you are EVERYTHING! SO TEAAAA!! Thanks to my wonderful butler Kianna who was absolutely amazing on my birthday and to all of the ladies who decorated my room - I felt so loved and cared for! I had the best experience celebrating my birthday at Royalton Vessence Barbados - I will be back soon!!

Great grounds and facilities, very good food and beautiful beach and pools. Service is quite inconsistent, usually slow (up to two hours for a dish) and unprofessional.
