“We had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with this homestay. After booking the room days in advance, we drove nearly 7 hours to reach the property — with my wife unwell during the journey — only to receive a call from Mr. Bijoy at 5 PM asking us to cancel our reservation. His reason was that the existing guests “couldn’t fly out of India” and would be extending their stay. This is completely unacceptable. A confirmed booking is a commitment. “Really sweet spot just off the beach up a commerce alley. Jishnu the host was very nice and helpful with getting comfortable. Hot shower if you want it - but I’ve learned to love taking cold showers here - and the bathroom was perfectly clean and well appointed. I will be back here at the Gypsy next year for sure.”

“Our room with a/c and ceiling fan, contained a large bed, tables, chairs, fridge, kettle and sink with separate toilet/ wet room. Settee outside on the verandah, large ground space from where you can view the sea, restaurant, promenade. Nice helpful staff. ”
