“Very cute boutique hotel if you want to stay at a quiet area that's a train ride away from Konstanz. The rooms are very nice and we got the room with the balcony. There are very steep and narrow stairs to go to the room so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues and a lot of luggage. Staff is very friendly and check in was a breeze. Parking is free but a little far from the hotel itself, but still walkable.”

The only thing I'd say is to be sure you plan ahead if you will rely on public transportation, as bus schedules can be limited on weekends/evenings. “We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!”
