The Space:

This updated beach house is the perfect place for your next adventure to the Oregon coast. It boasts unobstructed 180-degree views of the coastline from Proposal Rock in the south to Cape Kiwanda in the north and a who’s who of Oregon coast wildlife: grey whales, orcas, resident sea lions, nesting bald eagles, deer, sea birds, and more. Outside, you can take in the sweeping views from the private hot tub or enjoy the outdoor dining area, which capitalizes on the stunning views. Inside this two-story home, you will find everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen, private pool table, ping-pong table, and gaming system for added entertainment options. Enjoy ocean views from every living space and bedroom, with plenty of room to spread out.



WHAT’S NEARBY

There is no beach access near the home, but Pacific City is less than seven miles north, where you can find numerous restaurants and cafes. Excellent surfing, the Dory fleet, and Twist Wine Company are other local sights. Neskowin is four-and-a-half south, offering two restaurants, a small store, and a public golf course. Stroll past Proposal Rock on a low tide, and you might glimpse the ancient sunken forest.

Great long weekend! View is perfect. When the sun goes down the pool table is a perfect place to show the kids a thing or two. Hot tub view can’t be beat. The trail a couple houses down has great beach access and the cave around the corner is very cool. We left skim boards at home given the temps but the water between tides would have been perfect.

The view from the home is stunning. We saw eagles soaring, seals playing in the ocean. Was perfect for parents needing some relaxation and teens/tweens enjoyment of game options and the jacuzzi.

Beautiful property, great location and lots of nice amenities.I sincerely hope the owner sees this review as they need to know what’s going on.Upon arrival we found the back exterior door to be wide open, the lower level was littered with leaves, sand and spiders, I called to get it cleaned immediately, but they said someone would come out the next day. The smoke detectors were going off so I called and again someone would come out next day. While getting ready to go to sleep I folded back to covers to find dirty sheets with stains and hairs all over. So I checked the other 3 beds to find the same. So I called again, someone would be out the next day.Day two the defective smoke was replaced and clean sheets were installed.Here’s the big problem, we were all so grossed out with the dirty sheets we ended up sleeping in our cloths on the couches and on top of bedding on a bed. We also found Gatorade bottle laying on the floor. This place was not cleaned at all, we did receive an email the first day stating it was all clean and ready, which it was definitely not.See all pics below.Vacasa is the management company that takes care of it, they did give us a refund on the cleaning fee, wow like that makes it ok since they never cleaned it in the start.We like VRBO but will not stay in a Vacasa property again.I will say the Vacasa maintenance guy that switched out the smoke detector was great and caring, other than that they failed to do their job. Full day ruined!

The garbage cans in the house were full and smelled badly when we arrived, the outside cans were full too. Birds were getting in the outside cans and spreading garbage . The neighbor came over and tried to help us close the cans, they were overflowing and he said bears have been getting into them. All the dishes in the drawers were dirty as well as the plates and cups. I called the 800 number and had to wait on hold way too long. When I finally got someone they had a hard time with english and gave me a local contact. I called her and she said she would come over the next day and handle the garbage issue. She told me she would call before coming over and I never heard from her again. She also said she would "refund the cleaning fee" but that wasn't done either. The house was very nice with great amenities but based on their service and high fees charged, it's highly unlikely that I will rent a Vacasa property again.

Second Stay

This is the second time we've stayed at this property and we really like it. It has great views of the coast, a nice deck, a hot tub and pool table. The neighborhood is quiet and each time we've visited, we've seen lots of deer and bald eagles nearby. It is anout 16 miles from Lincoln City and 7 miles from Pacific City.

A Gem of a place on the coast; 180 degree ocean views

Members of my family from Portland, Finland, Oklahoma, and North Dakota had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation in this coastal home with its 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, kitchen area large enough for many preparations, stunning 180 degree ocean views, comfortable furniture, pool table, etc. Inside it was clean as a whistle as well! We had one slight reason to contact the help number and we got immediate feedback. Bravo! We didn't get a chance to use the ping pong table which is what drew me to look at the listing in the first place, but there just wasn't time. Getting to the beach was a short drive, instead of a walk, but once there, the beach was fabulous. I have so many happy memories of our 4 nights there, that I would need more patience than I have to relate all of them.

Family getaway

This home is stunning and beautiful. The views are breathtaking. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of activities for everyone. We had an amazing time and they were very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. Thank you for a great time.

Beautiful Home

We enjoyed our stay here so much, the house is beautiful! It had everything we needed. There is cave below it if you can catch it at low tide. There is no beach access directly from the house, its about a 2 min drive. We saw eagles, deer, racoons. The added pool table, ping pong and hot tub were so nice, we enjoyed just hanging out. If you want to relax this is the place!

Vacasa is letting them down

The house has so much potential, I feel like Vacasa is letting the owners down. Checkin information was sent from Vacasa instead of VRBO, no idea why? There was no guidebook for the property, and while I booked it through Vrbo, there was no guidebook online either nor emailed to us. Had to deal with the Vacasa call center to figure out how to access the beach, and all they did was just use google to advise on where the closest public beach was, I could look that up myself. Upon check in we found black hairs in the bedding and in the bathroom, and my son found a syringe in the refrigerator. It’s the Oregon coast, so we realize weather can be less ideal, but seeing how we booked the property because of the hot tub we were very disappointed to receive notification just before checkin that the hot tub was broken. Somebody came to repair it during our stay, but it didn’t get to temperature and usable until the last night. I reached out to the owner 4 different times since check out to see if they were going to do anything for us, seeing how a major amenity wasn’t available for our stay and we had to pay a fee for the hot tub, I expected them to at least do something for us. I don’t like to post negative reviews, but seeing how we’ve been blown off while we were in the property and after check out, this is my only choice. I would only stay here again if they got rid of Vacasa and hired a competent property management company.

Amazing Views

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this rental. The views were amazing; we saw wildlife every day. It was wonderful to watch the sunsets from the den and other rooms! The property was well appointed with linens, soaps, paper towels, and all needed items. The rooms were exactly as shown and my family thoroughly enjoyed the game rooms. There were a few issues we encountered. We were most disappointed that the hot tub (which was highlighted in the title and promotion pictures of the property) was not working and could not be repaired. Property management was VERY difficult to get ahold of to report this issue. They did try and move us to a different property, but no other property they offered was remotely comparable. The master bed was uncomfortable and needs replacing. There were 2 lockboxes as well as a keypad at the entry and instructions were not clear as to where to use the entry code. That was a minor blip but we arrived during a downpour; a more detailed explanation would have expedited our entry. The thermostat was on an automatic timer and the heat shut off in the middle of our first night; we all slept poorly and were cold that first night. We lucked into guessing the passcode to the system and were comfortable for the rest of our stay. Other properties we have stayed at had a "welcome book" - this property would greatly benefit from that. If the hot tub would have been in working order and the master bed more comfortable we would have rated this property with 5 stars.

Beautiful Location and Roomy House

We had a lovely weekend in this beautiful location. Sunsets were stunning and we spent lots of time just watching the seals and pelicans in and over the waves. House was comfy and clean. Kitchen could use a few more mixing bowls, saucepans, and storage containers, but we made do with what was there. We really enjoyed our time at this place and would definitely come again!

This property was immaculate, well stocked, and super functional. The beach access was a 2 min drive. Almost no one on the beach the whole time we were there. Sunsets were amazing!

Gorgeous views

Beautiful property and setup. Loved that they had stocked the kitchen with some staples like a pancake mix, pasta and marinara sauce. Beautiful views of the ocean. The entire family had a blast celebrating my Mom’s 60th birthday. Amazing amenities like the grill, hot tub, pool table, table tennis.

Very nice property

Our family of 5 spent the weekend at the house. Beautiful house and amazing view. The extras of the pool table, ping pong, and basketball game are a huge plus. Hot tub overlooking the ocean was nice. The only things that could have made the visit better were: 1 - every device (remotes etc.) had no batteries in them. Therefore unusable. 2 - the road to the house is gravel. Our gps took us down a very poor gravel road with lots of potholes and ruts. Lucky we had a suv that could clear the holes. Later found the "better" way in, but still it was a gravel road. That road also had a sign stating private drive - we used it anyway. At one time we thought maybe we were on a logging road. 3 - the battery in the basketball game got very hot. It should be looked at to prevent a fire. We took the batteries out being unsure what would happen if we left them in. Overall it was an excellent visit. We plan to book this property again next year if it is available.

Family Vacation

Rental was in a quiet area and not far from main road. A short couple minute gravel road to the home, so a bit dusty but very pretty and you may spot some deer. Home was clean, with complimentry toiletries, and enough linens and towels. I would say the description of what is provided is accurate We were really looking forward to the beach access and not having to drive to the beach, so our main complaint is that "beach access within 500 ft", was not a very accurate statement. Not very safe beach access, even local gentleman said it was risky and not recommended. You have to climb down a rocky cliff, holding on to a rope and only when the tide is out, other wise you could get stuck on the beach. Water comes right up to the rocks at high tide. This would not work for most people. Otherwise need to drive to get to the beach, short drive on gravel road. A few suggestions: - Squeaky doors could use some oil - Window going out to deck needs screen - Better entry instructions ( there were three possibilities of where to use the code, we had to guess) - Better condition pans (cooking & baking) - Welcome book with useful information/ beach access, check out instructions. - Need blinds or curtains on down stairs windows. Glare on TV from sun. - A couple outdoor lounge chairs would be nice - Rusty outdoor dining chairs could be updated. But I understand the salty air could be the reason for rust. - Billiards table (pool) game stick tips need replaced Home has no AC ( which I missed in the description) even though the thermostat unit says AC, it just blows air. There are a few windows which could be opened for a breeze but it did get a bit stuffy upstairs in the living room kitchen area. I would like to compliment the manager for getting back to us quickly and addressing our concerns and questions. I felt like he cared and wanted our stay to be enjoyable. All in all, we enjoyed the home and all it included. Thank you.
