“Lovely historical building, noisy, uncomfortable bed, coffee and tea , muffins same every day, no napkins, availabe in mezzanine. No refrigerator in rooms or coffee maker. Our room could use some work, broken arm chair, damage to wall.

“Parking was in the street or behind the building- you can only park for 3 hours at a time. On our last day of our stay we had to have our car removed at 0830 because Nevada City was having an event- which meant we had to leave early. There was no communication from staff about this. The room was very expensive for no ice or coffee for the room and no parking convenience. ”

“The property grounds are lovely but everything was in need of maintenance and repair. My room smelled like years of stale cigarette smoke. However, It is my understanding that the entire property is currently under a renovation and my room had not yet been renovated. Pool was empty and needed a complete replacement. But because the 16 acres is otherwise so beautiful with a waterfall and stream running through it, I would give it another try in a year or two.
