Wonderful Stay!
Desperately needed a quiet getaway and the cottage was perfect! Easy to find and quiet. Loved sitting in the swing sipping my coffee and listening to the birds and things. Just melted into the bed! So comfortable! Would love to return and stay again!

Great cottage
Wonderful, well maintained cottage in the woods, had all the amenities anyone would need, quiet, wonderful hiking trails all around, and just 10-12 minute walk to Nevada City. Great place.

Comfortable, cosy cottage
We spent 11 nights at the Creekside Cottage for our summer vacation. Beautiful, serene location. The property is well managed with trees, plants, and flowers. The screen porch at the back is ideal for taking in the surroundings. The cottage is clean and stocked with everything you would need for a home away from home. We cooked some of our meals after buying supplies from SPD grocery store, which is a 5 min drive from the property. Convenient location. Cottage is a short 10 minute walk from town and has access to several trails. The hosts were helpful and communicative. They were in touch via text during the check in process and during the stay with helpful tips and responded to questions promptly. The only suggestion we would make is to reorient or reposition the window AC unit. The air was directed up to the ceiling and didn't properly cool the rooms. We had to use the fans instead. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and hope to return.

Just about perfect
Host was perfect. Place was a simple walk to Downtown. You can walk to hiking trails. Fully equipped with a nice little kitchen. No stove but has toaster oven. Incredible trees and tranquil. What a great space. And host as pleasant as could be. Highly recommend.

I loved this property. The cleanliness was good, loved the quietude and smells of the woods.
Great place to de-stress. Easy coming and going to city and nature. Friendly people. Thought the cottage was next to the creek based on online photos, but still quite happy with my experience. Had somewhat of allergic reaction (animal hair, dander) but not to the point of being uncomfortable. ( sneezed a bit, eye itch at one point.) Owners were communicative, accomodating and responsive. 4.25+ starts. Thanks for the much needed relaxation.

Secluded and pastoral retreat
Betsy is an amazing host! Excellent communication, affable personality, and gracious manner. We spent more time just hanging out on the screened-in back porch than inside (beautifully decorated and easy to find everything inside, we just enjoyed ourselves out there); coming in only to eat and sleep and clean up. The trees surrounding the property afforded us both privacy and quiet, and we left the doors open to enjoy all the fresh mountain air wafting through. Lovely host, lovely property. We’ll be back! Great foothills getaway
Quiet, squeaky-clean cottage with comfortable furnishings only a beautiful wooded 10-minute walk to downtown Nevada City. Screened back porch offers secluded view for reading and a glass of wine. Cottage is well appointed with all kitchenware you need to cook and clean during your stay. Plenty of walking trails and lots of downtown shops to peruse (try Dedrick’s Cheese!). We’ll be back.

Tranquil cottage in wooded setting
The Creekside cottage is a quiet shady setting for relaxation but also close to forest paths and within walking distance to town. Thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, it has all the essentials for two (or three?) people in a charming atmosphere. The screen porch with foliage views on three sides is a place worth spending a lot of time!

lovely- so restful
This was the vacation we hoped for. The house was exactly as described and the screened porch was a lovely place to sit and listen to the birds while we chatted over tea. We walked back and forth to town several times and it was an easy, mostly shaded walk.

Comfortable cozy cottage
We are completely happy with our honeymoon stay. We loved sitting on the back porch and relaxing after a fun day of exploring the town by foot. It was a beautiful easy walk from the cottage to town so we could work off a little of the delicious food we found around town. We definitely want to stay again in the future!

Cutest little cottage
What a charming and quaint little cottage. Perfect in every way. Super sanitized stocked with necessities the kitchen. Bed is super soft so if you need firm mattress- bring an egg crate. Great little place for an escape.

Creekside Cottage Adventure
The property and property owners were wonderful. We unfortunately were in Nevada City during the PG&E power shutdown. We had no electricity from our arrival until about 8:00 PM our last night there. The owners accommodated us as much as they could. Due to the outage, no restaurants or businesses were open, which made dining difficult. We do plan to visit again and will definitely try to stay at the Creekside Cottage again!

Love It
My second stay at this delightful cottage. It's so quiet and forested despite being a really short walk to downtown Nevada City. I love having the screened porch (mosquitos like me), the little gas grill, and the porch swing. Wish I could visit more often!

Private & cute, great location
My husband and I took a two night mountain bike getaway and this place was perfect. It was a 10 minute walk to downtown through a really cute neighborhood and across a gorgeous bridge. The place was quiet and private, you can hear the river from the screened in porch. We brought our camp chairs so we could sit out in the grass. The layout was great and it had everything we needed including in the kitchen. Betsy was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back here!

A nice, relaxing, comfortable getaway. Half of what i expected the place to be from the description. It was so much better. If you really do want a nice cozy getaway by yourself or with a loved one...you couldn't find a better place.

Fantastic rental! The cottage is adorable, sparkling clean, and very well stocked with kitchenware and supplies. It's in a peaceful, wooded location yet a short walk to the center of Nevada City. I've been to Nevada City many times, but had never stayed in this area. I will definitely try to return in future. The host was easy to contact, nice, and very responsive.

An immaculate charming cottage near the end of the road with screened porch to enjoy tall trees and babbling creek. Everything you could possible need. Clean kitchen, spotless bathroom, comfy bed, snuggly robes and all in a lovely quiet setting with hiking nearby. Wonderful!

Charming and beautifully appointed cottage away from noise and distraction.
This little cottage is a gem! It is cozy, warm (I rented it in mid January) and delightful. Although communication with Betsy, the owner, was a little hampered by her work schedule and cell phone reception where she worked, she always got back with an answer to any question by text. Her care for her guests and obvious talent for knowing just what they might need was evident everywhere. Careful instructions, amazingly complete kitchen (with thoughtful provisions many places omit, such as coffee and tea, creamer, spices, etc. and the same with the bathroom supplies like body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, soft fluffy robes, etc. The location is hidden away (although access is easy), and quite beautiful, with hiking right there and town, Nevada City, just a short distance away. This is the perfect spot for singles and couples to come to for an quiet escape, romantic weekend, or use as base for exploration of the many offerings of the Nevada City and Yuba River area. I highly recommend it.

Celebrating our 42nd Anniversary!
This is by far the loveliest place we have stayed. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful trees and very secluded. The sound of the babbling creek is so soothing as you sit on the screened porch and enjoy the view. The cabin is impeccably clean and very thoughtfully stocked for all your needs. Such a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Betsy and Cliff for all your hospitality! I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Nevada City or any town near by.

Cozy cottage within walking distance to town
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creekside Cabin. We looked at several vacation rentals in the area and we are so glad we selected this one. We enjoyed that it was secluded, very quiet and still close enough to walk into town, which we did each day. We also walked the Tribute Trail, which is right up the road. The inside looks new and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the screened-in porch. We were there for two nights so we ate all our meals in town. Betsy gave us some great recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay at your charming cottage.

This cottage is definitely a charm. Quiet location but very close to town. We enjoyed walking both ways -the Tribute Trail to the bridge and also into town for dinner.
