The house is located in the 'Seventh Ward' of New Orleans. The Seventh Ward is a lower middle class diverse neighborhood, while it may appear rough around the edges it is full of good working class people (check reviews about friendly neighbors etc). If this doesn't sound like something you would be comfortable with that is 100% your call as it is your vacation and you should be comfortable. In that case I would recommend looking else where in the city for a different experience, if it is or interest to you, please keep reading and I think you will find a vibrant experience in my home.

This house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath, "pocket hallway" shotgun home. The house opens to the living room which is a welcoming, comfortable space with ample room to lounge and rest. For entertainment, there is a 50 in TV with a Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. There are board games, cards, and a take a book leave a book library. The hallway runs down the center of the house and extends from the living room to the kitchen.

Off of the hallway, there are two independent and private bedrooms. Each room has a full-sized memory foam bed, side tables with storage, and full closets with hangers. Between the bedrooms is a full bathroom with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.

At the end of the hallway is a full kitchen with table seating for 4, a full refrigerator, an oven with a range, a toaster oven, a toaster, a microwave, and a blender. There is a coffee station with a drip pot, ground coffee, and filters provided.

Guests have access to the entire house, driveway, parking, side yard, and front porch with a table, chairs, and a swing.

Heating / Cooling
The house is equipped with a Nest smart thermostat, in order to access temperature control please first connect to the house wifi network. Once you are on the wifi the nest should identify that someone is home and grant access. When no device usage is detected on the network the thermostat will automatically enter an eco mode until you return. The temperature is able to be set by the guest within a predetermined range, when the AC is active it can be set as low as 70F and when the heat is active it can be set as high as 75F. These temperatures have been selected because they are the max temperature in either direction the house will maintain. On a warm day the house will not get below 70F and on a cold day with not get above 75F even if the unit runs 24/7.

The home is cleaned by a professional cleaning service after every reservation, so it is in tip-top shape for when you arrive for your NOLA trip.
