Love the Marigny | A Loft in a Historic Building

Step into the former building of the Lost Love Lounge. Located in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny, and reputed as one of the oldest taverns in the neighborhood, located above Breakaway's Restaurant and Bar. Our completely renovated condo on top has everything you need to visit & enjoy the historic Marigny district. Just minutes away from the French Market and Frenchmen Street. Countless shops, bars, restaurants & galleries are steps away. The perfect location to enjoy authentic New Orleans.

The downstairs floor of the building is occupied now by a new restaurant and bar called The Breakaway's Restaurant and Bar that is open from 12PM to 1AM. Music & Noise from downstairs can be heard in the unit during these hours. This is a fun and lively neighborhood for anyone looking for the joys of live music, food and company!

A large bedroom, full bath, & spacious living area provide ample room for you to relax. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all cooking essentials for an evening in. With windows in every room, natural light bathes the loft. An open floorplan with a dining area and comfy living room will let you enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee while enjoying the morning sun happily provided by us!

The private apartment is exclusively for guest use!

A vibrant art scene - with local artisans' galleries, funky live music venues, and art markets, embodies the essence of these adjacent neighborhoods. Nice little getaway

At first, the location may seem a little questionable but as long as you head south, it’s absolutely fine! It’s within walking distance of Frenchmen St. and just a little further to French Market and all the festivities of the French Quarter. It was actually very nice to be removed from all the hustle and bustle.

Nice but shortcomings

Nice place, great neighborhood. But waiting 20 minutes for hot water in the underlit bathroom was a problem. A larger and less noisy bed would have helped, too.

Fun time in NOLA!

Decent place…good location. Great manager. The downside was since the place used to be the Lost Love Lounge for many years, the unit has very stale smoke smell inside the which is probably in the sheet rock. Bathroom also needs updating. Shutting shower door was super difficult and hot water took over 5 minutes to get hot. All and all….we had a great time visiting all the music clubs on Frenchman and walking thru the French Quarter. Great food too!! Try Paladar 511!!! Amazing food and only a 5 minute walk. We will be back to NOLA! But will not rent this unit again.

Great neighborhood & cozy apartment

The Faubourg Marigny neighborhood was perfect for the pace that I was looking for on this particular trip to NOLA. It was within walking distance from JAMNOLA, several restaurants and bars. As far as the space, the walls are a bit thin so be conscious of your noise levels when there are other guests in the unit across from you. Plenty of toiletries, paper towels, bath towels, shampoo and body wash. Bring your favorites if you use special products. The wi-fi was pretty fast and the smart TV has all of the typical apps if you have your own accounts. I believe Netflix is already included. Overall, a great stay. Thanks to the hosts for being super responsive to my daily messages.
