The apartment was clean, comfy, and quiet. The kitchen is quite small (hard to fit two people at the same time) but had loads of specialized equipment and appliances (Keurig coffee maker, separate espresso maker, air fryer, waffle iron, blender, food processor, separate additional freezer in pantry, etc.). All of the rooms had ample storage space, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The window a/c units in the living room and each bedroom were extremely helpful for the warm and humid July weather. The hardwood floors are lovely, and the area rug in the living room was a nice feature. There were lots of bath towels and some extra bath supplies, but there wasn't any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the shower (not a big deal but good to know in advance). Having the large-capacity washer and dryer in the unit was great!
The only slightly negative aspect to this rental is that the neighborhood environment isn't the greatest. It's not very pretty and has lots of trash around the area, including cars in various states of repair, old furniture, etc. We didn't feel unsafe, but it wasn't the most pleasant area to go for a stroll, unfortunately. The location itself is very convenient, however, with nearby transit stops, a Target, a Starbucks, the Wonder Flatbush food hall, and Prospect Park within walking distance.
