This was our second stay at this lovely home - had to return to Newark due to a death in the family. Daniel and Amanda are the most thoughtful and considerate hosts I have ever had the good fortune of encountering - from their initial communications to the kind sympathy card they left for my Mom and me, they showed a level of hospitality you just don't find nowadays.The house has had some nice upgrades in the few months since our first visit, too, and it is as charming and comfortable as ever. Even during the chilly nights (and I know those get chillier still soon enough!) the house is warm, cozy, and welcoming. Everything about the appointments throughout the house - the furnishings, the beds, and all spaces in-between - are top notch. When next we pass through Central Ohio, I will surely look to stay here again if available. And once more - from the bottom of my heart, thank you to Daniel and Amanda for your kindness and thoughtfulness given the nature of our visit this time around.

House was nice and as described online. Convenient location to stores and restaurants. Having somewhat of a disability found it a little difficult entering the home without handrails on the porch steps. Also getting up stairs was a little cumbersome without handrails for the staircase. Perfect Getaway for Family Time

We came to Newark to visit my younger sister who just had her first child. The house was well equipped and cozy, allowing us to enjoy our family time. Daniel & Amanda were excellent hosts. They were extremely helpful before & during our stay. We'd definitely rent again if in the area. Thank you!

Great Value and Delightful Old House

As a history major I appreciate old houses and the culture surrounding them. Daniel and Amanda did a great job renovating this late 1800's house. We appreciated being able to have our pet join us. Daniel was very responsive, and all the amenities were there for our needs. No problems checking in/out or with our stay.

A Wonderful Stay!

What a lovely house and fabulous hosts - everything was absolutely delightful! Easy access to everything Newark has to offer: the Square is 5 minutes away, with plenty to eat and drink and enjoy. Highly recommended for anyone needing a spot in the heart of it all.

Diamond in the rough

Great house in a poor location. Shared driveway with neighbor wasn't a big deal, but was very small for a truck and car in addition to the neighbor's car. We did enjoy the history of the house though. Clean and well taken care of.

The home is nice, the neighborhood less so. We were disappointed in the shortage of toilet paper and mirrors in the house, as well as the considerable difficulty we had getting inside because of a glitch with the combo lock. I also was surprised that I was charged another 150 when I changed booking from 2 guests to 4. I probably just missed that in the listing.to super

The property and the renters were great. The house had been nicely renovated and had a great floor plan. It was a very interesting house, I really liked it. I live in the country, so the road noise probably bothered me a bit more than it would other people. This was the only reason for anything lower than a 5 star rating. I struggle to sleep in hotels for the exact same reason. It did quiet down through the night, just that you know. The gas stove was awesome to have, a really nice and modern fridge as well. The whole house has been updated nicely and it does have a lot of charm.

Warm cozy house in Newark

We stayed at this house in Jan and the weather was below freezing. The house was clean, warm and cozy, although the water in the shower did not remain hot after the first person. The appliances in the kitchen were modern and high quality. The house is on a busy street.
