We rented the house for a memorial for my father-in-law so I was willing to pay more for a really special experience for the family. On a positive note, the pool and outdoors was amazing and the check-in process was easy. As we encountered problems in the house, the host was very responsive but nothing of significance was addressed. My request for some financial compensation for the many issues we encountered has still not been responded to. Issues that need to be addressed are: - The banister going from the first to second floors is very unstable; cannot be counted on by anyone that needs support; a major safety hazard - The third floor shower has no hot water so we had to share the second floor bathrooms between 8 -10 guests - 2nd floor master bath shower is lovely but incredibly complicated to use; took 5 adults to figure it out! should have detailed instructions - 2nd floor master bathroom sinks don't drain - air hockey table doesn't work - all the bedside lamps don't work - 2nd floor bathroom cabinet broken and the faucet just trickles hot water - kitchen dishwasher isn't attached to the wall so have to shove it in to make it workOverall, this house looks beautiful and could be fabulous if a handyman spent a few days working on it. For the price we paid, I shouldn't have spent so much of my weekend emailing the host. Responsive didn't result in the issues being resolved
