  • A 'Ridgeview' puoi andare a dormire con lo sfarfallio di una stufa a legna, svegliarti al sole che scorre attraverso alte finestre su pavimenti di pino color miele e guardare dal tuo mazzo mentre la luce del sole riempie la valle del fiume e gioca attraverso la cresta opposta.

    Bella nuova costruzione di 1000 piedi quadrati, cottage "salt box" di due piani e mezzo su dieci acri, tre dei quali sono terreni aperti e pianeggianti. Arredato con gusto con cucina completamente attrezzata, due bagni completi, due stufe a legna, lavatrice / asciugatrice e un frigorifero / congelatore aggiuntivo per l'ulteriore conservazione degli alimenti nell'atrio. Il piano terra comprende una camera da letto principale privata con letto matrimoniale, finestra a golfo, bagno completo e terrazza privata. Open space e soffitto a volta al piano principale, con letto matrimoniale e una grande terrazza panoramica. Loft con letto matrimoniale per posti letto aggiuntivi. Ottimo per coppie, due coppie o piccole famiglie. Sconti offerti per single, coppie e famiglie con bambini piccoli.

    Situato nella splendida Newfane, che è molto tranquillo e sereno, ma a pochi minuti da sci e snowboard, nuoto, canoa, gigli diurni, golf, escursioni, gallerie, oggetti d'antiquariato, Marlboro Music Festival, negozi e ristoranti di Brattleboro.

Went here to go snowboarding at Mount Snow not a long drive to the mountain. Excellent location love the house. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location of the house. Beautiful views, nice deck. It was raining during our stay so we weren't able to enjoy grill or the deck. The location was good for our planned activities, leaf peeping. The host provided so much useful information which we really appreciated. We do not ski and were not there during that season, so we can't speak to that question. The cabin was clean enough. We would stay there again and we recommend the cabin.

Just like it says, "Beautiful!"

I was a solo traveler because my companion had to change plans, so I had the benefit of complete piece of mind at this place, and more room than I needed. It really is a beautiful place with a nice view. Very quiet and peaceful, it was a nice location to get away from the city. Only 4 minutes from Rock River, so that was a nice bonus. I'm looking forward to returning here in the future for sure

Peaceful Getaway

If you're looking to get away from it all then this is the place for you! Picturesque scenery. The nearby shops and markets were great, especially the farmers market. We would love to stay here again.

My second stay at this property, and just as magical as the first. Beautiful, well appointed house. We enjoyed the woodstoves, views, and glimpses of wild turkeys, deer, songbirds, and even a woodcock(!) that visited the meadow beyond the porch. Lovely, peaceful experience.

Great Little House

While we only stayed for two nights and were out skiing for the day, it was a cozy place to come back to, get the wood stoves going, and relax. Nice secluded picturesque woodsy surroundings. I also left a jacket there and it was promptly mailed to me once I let the host know.

Fine long weekend in Vermont. The only downside was the bedding. The master bedroom bed was very saggy and the loft bed was saggy with poor sheets. Otherwise very comfortable.

Nice cabin, great location, but needed cleaning

This cabin was a very good choice for our 20-day visit to Vermont and the surrounding New England states. The location made visiting sites in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, and of course Vermont so easy and convenient. We did them all. The host, Jim was very helpful, accommodating, and provided good information on local points of interest, despite living across the country (there is a local property manager just in case). The cabin itself was very nice. It is quiet, safe, and remote (in a good way). We enjoyed the outdoor space nearly every night with beautiful views of the trees and mountains. Inside, the layout worked well for us. Although the kitchen is small, it is functional. The stove seemed underpowered but served the purpose. A mini fridge in the kitchen with a full sized fridge one floor down took some getting used to but worked. The living room was adequate although the sofa has seen some better days (hard, lumpy, and a bit uncomfortable). Note that there is no TV in the living area. The loft has comfortable seating which we enjoyed when we could not go outside. The bedroom was large and the bed more-or-less comfortable. On the negative side, the cabin was among the dirtiest rentals we’ve come across in our 20 long-term rentals over the past 18 months. Fortunately, we were able to check in early because we needed that time (and most of the next day) for general cleaning and in particular, mold in the master bathroom shower and scrubbing cabinets, cookware, plates, and utensils in the kitchen. There was also mold in the washing machine rubber gasket seal that we tried and failed to get clean. In general, the place really needs a good “going over” to clean out the clutter, old kitchen pantry items, stuff in any and every drawer, and unexpected bathroom cabinet items such as partial containers of enemas and hemorrhoid cream (why would anyone leave these behind and why wouldn’t they be cleaned out before the next rental?). Fortunately for us, we come with cleaning supplies and the expectation that some cleaning will need to be done but in this instance it was simply too much not to mention. In conclusion, the good aspects of this rental outweighed the cleanliness shortcomings. The location was simply perfect, and the cabin very nice once we cleaned it up. We would likely stay here again if we wanted to re-visit this area.

Beautiful Views, Clean, and Updated

Perfect for our family looking for a place near the slopes yet close to the conveniences of Brattleboro. Communication is great and instructions are thorough. The heat was more than adequate even on the coldest of nights. Morning views are fantastic.

Jim's place was perfect for 3 couples to stay while we attended a nearby wedding of our close friends. Beautiful house and everything we needed to feel comfortable and cozy. We all enjoyed coffee on the lovely deck each morning before each day's events nearby. Thank you!

Worth the stay

Nice quiet home in rural and wooded setting in suburban Vermont. Home was quant and had a fantastic view of the woods. Bed was extremely comfortable and home was well equipped for a long term rental. Nice back deck with good views! Wood burner(s) were a great compliment to a quiet evening! The property owner was more than willing to communicate with me before, during, and after our stay. He went above and beyond and definitely encourages his guests to get out and enjoy Vermont! He is more than willing to help with anything he can and I think that in itself speaks volumes to anyone looking for a vacation rental! Driveway is easy too miss- home before the rental is numbered 21, the rental is next on the left but lacks any visible address or signage. Also bring your own DVD player if you plan on watching DVD's. TV has a HD hookup. Strongly recommend purchasing the DeLorme Vermont/New Hampshire road Gazetter from Garmin. It is $24.99 on Garmin's website and if you get two it is free shipping. These atlases have everything you need even if you have a GPS. Parks, scenic drives, etc. Blow-ups of city streets and all the backroads are included. Definite for any traveller and I strongly recommend one. Verizon and maybe other cell service is very sketchy and often times unavailable in some areas. SO BE PREPARED AND GO "OLD-SCHOOL"! Also several local restaurants are closed at odd hours or permanently, do not trust what the internet says. Bring food to cook at the cabin and DO NOT plan on eating out every day, several "mom and pop" places have closed their doors from COVID so keep that in mind. Stores are in the same boat and what is open closes in early to mid evening. Only antique shops we did find open were in Chester, VT. The Fullerton Inn in Chester had an excellent meal along with a fine wine and beer selection. Great for that nice evening with the wife or girlfriend. Eclectic atmosphere, good food and service! Located in an old wood bank building that has a massive wood porch with outdoor seating.

Excellent quiet getaway

Fantastic cabin on a beautiful piece of land, especially in the new-fallen snow. We really enjoyed our quiet weekend getaway, and especially appreciated the wood stoves and how fast the local plow service cleared the driveway (not that we were going anywhere!). We will definitely be back!

Great little private get away!

We went over New Year's. Great little private get away! Wood stoves in living room and bedroom are wonderful! PLENTY of wood to burn also. Wonderful view of the Vermont woods out the kitchen doors - even a little deck out there to sit on and enjoy the view. No issue getting in or out even in snow.

This is our second stay at the house and its location and situation are perfect - for a quiet night's sleep and for closeness to some interesting and beautiful towns and villages. The lower bedroom is huge, with its own fireplace and supply of wood; the living room, also with its own wood-burning stove and with dining and kitchen in open plan, opens on to a balcony the full width of the building. Perfect for restful views any time of the day. The loft bedroom has a skylight to the stars (or the early morning sun!) and accessed by a beautiful spiral staircase. Kitchen is for one person at a time and adequately stocked with dishes, flatware and cooking needs. The full bathrooms on upper and lower floors are stocked with super soft towels; downstairs has glassed-in shower stall, upper a combination bathtub/shower. FYI - Had a super meal this visit at The Old Crow restaurant on Hwy 30 as you enter Newfane. All in all, another great stay in a super property.
