“It was large, clean and bright, easy to reach from the rail station and bus service 10 min and the city centre. A bit noise because is on the street. Excellent position to start the walk on the cliffs and see the paradisiac Seven Sisters”

“We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....”

“Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.”

“Veramente molto Bello. Hotel ben tenuto, si vede che ha una certa storia, però dove necessario è tutto stato ammodernato mantenendo uno Stile Vintage che non essendone una amante, ho potuto comunque apprezzarlo. Check in semplice. Supermercato vicino e vicino a Brighton ”

“Ottimo hotel sopra un pub. Stanza e bagno nuovi e curati nell'arredo. Buona pulizia degli ambienti e buona colazione. Unica pecca non ci è stata rifatta la stanza. Il personale si è limitato solo rimpinguare capsule del caffè e biscotti, ma non sono stati rifatti i letti, pulito il bagno né cambiati gli asciugamani. Ci siamo fermati due notti e non è stato un grande disagio. Solo per questo non assegno il massimo alla pulizia. Il ristorante è buono e adeguato nel prezzo”

“My fiancée and I stayed at The Alfriston during the last weekend of half-term. The welcome was pleasant, and we appreciated the complimentary glass of wine. Unfortunately, almost every part of the stay had issues. Our room was small, overlooking the spa pool, with fairly standard amenities. Dinner was disappointing. The sole server was friendly but repeatedly forgot our order. Drinks took 20–30 minutes to arrive, the rosé was served warm despite which is quite bad when it costs £12–15 a glass....

“It's a great location. Quiet, but near the shops and seafront. Very helpful staff and a comfortable room. Not a big room, but what you'd expect for a period property like this. The place itself is very stylish and well decorated.”

“L’hotel si trova in ottima posizione in pieno centro città, in pochi minuti si raggiungono il famoso Pier, le spiagge, il Royal Pavilion e le zone dello shopping. Ovviamente la zona è piena di ristoranti e pub. L’unico neo per chi viaggia in macchina è la difficoltà a trovare un parcheggio, soprattutto nei fine settimana”

“Great location served by local bus route from centre of town. Convenient cafes and eateries within walking distance as well as the beach front.”

“Nicely decorated and very clean, cramped and cold though. In a fairly grubby part of town. Very overlooked by other buildings into room. Staff assistance was prompt but there is no in person presence. Quiet at night and good black out blinds. ”

“***1st Class Stay!!*** We stayed in a beautiful room with a sea view which was nothing but perfection. Clean, light, airy and the view onto the old pier is stunning. The staff at the hotel are engaging and professional and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is exactly how you want it. The cocktails in the hotel bar are delicious and they were happy for us to go off menu and make us our favourite drinks. The bar its self is cosy and has a relaxing atmosphere.”
