“Latica lodge was amazing to stay at! If you’re looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. Everyone from all over the world staying there, all having breakfast/supper together was spectular. The owners are everyday people willing to help you out with everything they made the stay so enjoyable. “The property was great except for getting in and out of the nice pool. No ladder or stairs. Not having a/c and sleeping with bug spray on was not good. Nice people wonderful breakfast. ”

“Wonderful place and lovely host. Their bioluminescence tour with Luis was amazing! Bed is comfortable. Be aware that there is no AC and it is 80 degrees at night. They have a great set up, fans pointed at the beds. Highly recommend this proprty!”

“They are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They helped set up taxis and activities that were all very pleasant as well. Will definitely book again in the future. Logistics - it's in the center of everything so ATM, restaurants, beach access, rentals, and shops are all easy to walk to. ”

“Small, cozy, friendly, quiet....we stayed for a month in the jungle of Guanacaste with Gary and his dog, Wally! The pool is wonderfully shady in the afternoons, Gary is a warm and friendly host, helpful and kind. We were looking for someplace near to beaches, great sunsets, and no crowds....meeting the locals, shopping the local markets, etc. This is the perfect spot to just sit back and relax.”

“This is a great little lodge, near to local, beautiful beaches. AC, hot water and pool, and full outdoor kitchen access are welcome amenities. I had some trouble finding it, but that was more operator error. Gary responded quickly to my questions when lost. Must visit playa San Juanillo for sunset, and Playas Frijolar and Coco are beautiful with a great Tiki Bar.”
