Mediterranean Vacation Home in a 3,000-Year-Old Town Near a Sandy Beach

Our vacation home is located in the popular resort town of Nin, Croatia. The nearest sandy beach is about 200 meters from the house, and Nin’s old town is about 600 meters away. This means that within just a few minutes, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the beach—which is perfect for relaxing but also a popular surfing spot—and the tourist crowds in town to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding area. The surrounding area consists exclusively of vacation homes, some of which are also occupied by locals. From Nin, you can take various day trips in the area—whether it’s a city tour to Zadar, a rock-climbing trip in Paklenica National Park, swimming in the waterfalls of Krka National Park, etc., or simply enjoying a peaceful vacation—the possibilities are endless and entirely up to you. We use the house for our own vacations and have equipped it to meet our own standards: comfortable beds, a dishwasher, a washing machine, satellite TV, 5G Wi-Fi, a PlayStation, child-friendly amenities including appropriate furniture, and even a very useful handcart for walking excursions and various toys. The house was lovingly restored in 2022 and 2023, so everything is in like-new condition. We’ve placed great importance on preserving the Mediterranean, Croatian charm, which is evident in the furnishings and design. <br><br>The house has two separate apartments. Both apartments have a living area of approximately 53 m² each. The upstairs apartment features an open-concept bedroom/living area with 4.50 m high ceilings and a large bathroom. The small kitchen is also equipped with a dishwasher so you can enjoy your vacation with a glass of local wine on the 12 m² balcony overlooking the impressive Velebit Mountains instead of washing dishes by hand in the kitchen. The very comfortable box-spring bed and the air conditioning on very hot days ensure a restful night’s sleep. You can access the upper apartment via a separate outdoor staircase, ensuring plenty of privacy. <br><br>The lower apartment has two bedrooms: one master bedroom with a 1.80-meter bed and a children’s room with one bunk bed and one single bed, accommodating three children or, if Grandma and Grandpa are coming along. The living room features a pull-out couch that provides two additional sleeping spots for even more flexible sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances—from a dishwasher and filter coffee maker to a toaster, microwave, and crepe pan—everything is there. The bathroom has been completely renovated and features underfloor heating for the colder months. In the living room, the wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth throughout the entire apartment in the winter. The slightly older children can be kept entertained in front of the satellite TV with a connected PlayStation while the parents enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet on the approximately 20 m² terrace. There are plenty of places to sit and lounge. You’re protected from prying eyes—if any should appear, even during peak season, thanks to the quiet location—by the beautiful trees and adjustable curtains. If you’re arriving by car, a parking spot is available right outside the door on the fully fenced property.<br><br>A separate laundry room with a washing machine is available for both apartments. <br><br>We look forward to welcoming you!
