“This hotel has very little going for it. The room is substandard. It was clean (except for one sticky table), but old furniture can only get so clean. One chair was horribly stained. The property is substandard. The restaurant had a great hamburger. Check in took a long time because the person in charge at the bar was outside making a phone call. (You check in at the bar). Won't go there again”

“We have been enjoying Captain Whidbey since we spent our wedding night there in 1974. And now we are Whidbeyites for the past 51 years. I love the history, the staff and of course the location. And all our memories from the past half-century! I do think for the price of the Lagoon Rooms that bathrobes should be included -- and sorry there is no breakfast available, except to go at the store. Of course we miss the original bar, which was a classic -- but over the years, with new owners, things do...
