    Benvenuti nel nostro appartamento rustico sulla spiaggia. Questo spazio unico è stato ricavato dal seminterrato del nostro cottage sulla spiaggia di oltre 100 anni. Ha appena subito una completa riabilitazione interiore - nuovissimi tappeti e rivestimenti interni, nuovo linoleum nei bagni e nella cucina. Abbiamo ricreato questo spazio unico in una piccola unità luminosa, pulita, confortevole e allegra in cui è possibile creare meravigliosi ricordi di famiglia.

    Penso che sia la migliore posizione in Ocean View - le spiagge, anche se non del tutto private, sono fantastiche! Siamo situati direttamente sull'acqua, basta uscire dalla tua porta lungo il sentiero sabbioso e sei proprio sulla spiaggia della bellissima baia di Chesapeake!

    La cucina è dotata di frigorifero, stufa / forno a gas a grandezza naturale e tutto il necessario per i pasti.

    Si compone di 2 camere da letto e 1 1/2 bagno ed è accuratamente descritto come un appartamento seminterrato, all'interno di un bellissimo cottage rustico sulla spiaggia. Ha il suo ingresso privato e parcheggio. Le finestre sono in stile casement più piccolo, che contiene 3 unità di aria condizionata.

    Devi essere in grado di scendere nell'unità scendendo 3 gradini. Attenzione, se hai più di 6 piedi di altezza - non è permesso saltare !! - ci sono tubi del radiatore che corrono lungo i soffitti tipici di questo tipo di appartamento seminterrato.

    Se sei alto, porta un casco !!

    E se hai mai giocato a basket nella NBA, questo potrebbe non essere il posto giusto per te !!

    Siamo situati direttamente sull'acqua, basta uscire dalla porta e sei proprio sulla spiaggia della bellissima baia di Chesapeake!

    Voglio temperare le tue aspettative con questa unità. Ha più di 100 anni e anche se lo adoro, potrebbe non essere adatto a tutti, in quanto gli elettrodomestici e gli impianti idraulici sono un po 'datati. Questo è un appartamento che è stato creato da uno spazio seminterrato. È pulito e confortevole e, naturalmente, sulla spiaggia. I soffitti sono bassi e le finestre sono piccole. Abbiamo fatto del nostro meglio per creare uno spazio confortevole per far divertire te e la tua famiglia! L'enfasi, tuttavia, dovrebbe essere sulla bellissima Chesapeake Bay Beach e poterla godere mentre si alloggia in una unità fronte spiaggia.

The property was just as described, it was a perfect little spot on the beach. My brother and I were able to get up every morning and take a walk on the beach before visiting with our dad and siblings. Our brother lives in Norfolk and this house was only 2 miles away. I was very happy with our stay

Perfect for a quick trip or week stay

Location was great. Neighborhood was nice and also pretty quiet. The walk to the bay was very quick and easy to do. Grill on the property was nice. The sink and the half bath didn’t work at the time of our stay. Some of the sinks and appliances were a little rusty, but you are at the beach. Overall a great place to stay.

The location of the property is perfect. It’s just a walk to the back for the beach so that was amazing, but the property itself needs better upkeep. There was mildew in the bathroom and on the utensils and pots. There were crumbs layer of dust on some surfaces, and the smell hits you as soon as you open the door. Communication was nonexistent, even though we were able to figure out the problems ourselves, It would’ve been nice to get a reply back to the messages I sent.

Would not stay again

Seems over priced unless you’re ONLY paying for being on the beach. Otherwise house is in pretty bad condition. Property manager very polite and professional. Beach is very nice as well. House seems to be falling apart. Would not stay again.

The ceiling was low, bathroom sink was clogged. Bathroom floor needs work. Property was clean and beds were comfortable. Loved being at the beach. They have a different Property i stayed at on an earlier date that was great. Although we didnt care for the mentioned things, the process was easy and the owners were good to deal with.

Peaceful and relaxing

This property delivers! House is right on the beach. Beach is not crowded at all. Luxury linens and comfortable beds. Only complaint was we couldn't get WiFi or watch TV. We were there during hurricane Dorian so guess that may have been a factor. It didn't matter to me but the children were a little bummed. A wonderful place to relax and be on the beach.

Not exactly what I expected

I knew we were staying in a basement apartment, and that was ok. But I did not expect the disrepair. There were holes in the ceiling and some spots in the walls that were fixed but not painted. Being a basement there was a very musty smell and an odor from previous pets that stayed. A dehumidifier and some air freshener would go a long way. I bought some Febreze and used the whole bottle throughout the week and finally got the smell under control. There was only one functional bathroom and it was very small, the other half bath was out of order. Being on the beach, it would have been nice to have a spot to hang wet clothing outside to dry. More towels for a week stay would have been nice. We only had 2 per person. On the upside, the beds were comfortable, there is a large tv and the internet worked well. For the most part the apartment was clean, just needed some tlc. I was not expecting 5 star accommodations and knew this was an older property, but for the cost of the stay I think some things could be fixed.

The fact that the beach was in your backyard was honestly the best thing ever. Mere steps and you’re standing in front of the water. So peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Unexpectedly Perfect Location

I was hesitant about low ceilings, but my 6'1" husband was fine. The apartment was clean and cozy. It was the perfect location to take advantage of the surrounding area without too much hustle and bustle. I really appreciated the low traffic and noise, the private parking, and semi private beach. Will definitely book this property again!

Not Worth It

The beach was lovely, but everything else was a bust. The space is in poor condition: my kid punctured his foot on an exposed carpet staple, there is visible mold throughout the ceiling, and the ceiling is reinforced with shims as it is also visibly sagging with damage. The a/c is cool (though very, very loud). The bathroom has unfinished drywall in the shower cubby, the bathtub faucet does not work (shower only, which is not great for kids), and the water would shift to scalding without notice. I felt unsafe having my kid in the tub with the water running as the temperature was so variable (the upstairs neighbors also warned us about this issue). Though the listing says it sleeps 5, we were also charged an extra guest fee for 3 adults and 1 toddler. I contacted the host to ask about this and they said that the fee is triggered after 3 guests. I cannot find this anywhere on the listing, and the just told me to contact VRBO. I did, but VRBO said that the host is the only one who can help. Frustrating all around. Will not be back.

property not recommended

We would not recommend this property as a vacation rental for anyone. There is no rustic charm . . . just an old, dirty, moldy, damp basement and probably not even safe. The smoke alarms were disarmed and laying about the property, material stuffed into electrical sockets and a couple of exposed light sockets overhanging the shower, mold everywhere especially the kitchen sink and taps, holes and water stains in the ceiling, rusty old refrigerator. We paid almost $2,500 for 4 people plus pets to stay here. Only 2 of us stayed as there was no refund and we couldn't afford alternative accommodation . . the others were totally repulsed and did not stay. Good beach access and nice beach!

Perfect spot to chill on the beach

Overall everything was great! Short walk to the beach and plenty of room for my family including the dogs. I would definitely recommend this listing for people in the future.

Great service and pet friendly

The management here it’s the best. If you have any issues all you have to do is reach out. We loved the apartment. It was perfect for me, my husband and our two dogs. The Beach is just a few steps away. It’s nice to be able to take walks on the beach especially with my furry little babies. Stay here and you won’t regret it. George and Kathleen offer top notch service and at prices you can afford..

Quick Beach Getaway

Cute rustic place and description is very accurate. Straight path to the beach. Communication with property manager was great. We would definitely stay here again if there were not any people in the rental above this one. The nights are very difficult to sleep because you can hear everything they are doing (i.e., music, laughing, banging around etc). But if you can sleep through anything this place is for you!

"Rustic" basement is too old and molding/musty smell

Location is perfect. The hosts are very good, responsive and giving clear instructions. However, the basement itself is very bad. Musty smell is so strong. I always smell it even after staying inside for hours. I opened 2 doors in the basement and the musty smell was event stronger. It feels like nobody stayed in the basement for a long time. Bath tub's curtain must have been there for ages. It has lots of black molds. Sometimes I felt like I could not breath because the air was too stuffy and musty. I saw a cockroach one night. Flies and mosquitos come in the basement whenever we open the door. A screen door might be helpful for the air to circulate better. We're fortunate that my youngest son just grew out of asthma past few months, otherwise, his asthma could have been triggered and our vacation could be ruined. I hope the host will try to improve the condition of the basement so guests can avoid possible heath issues. Thank you!
