After a long day, we really wanted to enjoy some classic S’mores around a campfire, but it was already 10pm and we’d run out of energy to go to the store for supplies. “We stayed for two nights and were very pleased. Our room was scrupulously clean and free of dust which is difficult in the desert. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in on this 12 day car trip. We especially loved the totally contactless check in process and keyless entry. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.”

“Spent a night while waiting to pick up wife & granddaughter. Hilltop had a nostalgic feel, est 1947, of travel in the 50s. Reservation online & all communication, which was great, was through texts, to include room number & access code. Housekeeping staff was friendly & helpful. Only recommendation would be for better signage. Finding the Tavern easy, little mor of a challenge initially locating the room.”

“My room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of available in-room amenities: coffee maker, fridge, iron & ironing board, tv, WiFi, microwave. The shower worked well and the towels were plush. The bed was very comfortable. I sat out on my deck every morning and had coffee to the pleasant sounds of the mountains and forest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. “From the outside, this place looks like many of the other little hotels in the area where when you walk into your room, and it’s mountain kitch, with bears and dark wood, and deer heads , etct. But this place is different, the rooms are beautiful. It’s obvious they’ve been recently renovated. They’re large and fresh and open. Huge TV great sound. Fridge freezer microwave. That was a pretty kick ass room.”

“The room #8 I stayed in was very large and clean. I loved the wooden ceiling with the beams running across and the string lights on it. Also the fireplace. Right next to a thrift shop, a small market, and a lot of food. No complaints, everything was smooth”

“Jin, the gentleman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. I felt very safe as a single woman traveler. The room had a real kitchenette including a stove and oven, sink and basic dishes and pans. I didn’t use the stove/oven this time but will the next time! There is a nice picnic area complete with grill and picnic tables on the property. Stacey’s gift shop next door has an eclectic collection of items. I plan to return with more cash to purchase some gift items. This was a ‘runaway’ night...
