“The entire house was slanted, making it difficult to walk up the stairs, which were already fairly steep. One friend left with unspecified bug bites on her leg, several of us had reddish and brown stains on our mattresses, and one persons was flipped over to hide said stains. Floor came up a bit in the kitchen on our first night there and a friend got a scratch on her foot from it. Trash was also not taken out when we arrived. “All of the above. Cleanliness, the room, the staff, location. I enjoyed the ambience. It had nice warm & cozy feel to it. It must have been the fireplace & the music. “Staff, the room and the breakfast were all outstanding!!! They even accommodated my special request to not be by anyone due to me having to go to sleep early because I had to leave early fo work. I stay there about 2 or 3 times a month when the weather is bad because I live out of town. Out of all my stays I have only had one issue with 1 staff member but after expressing my concerns and frustrations with the manager all was resolved. Definitely would recommend! ”
