“Gara Rock ist ein echter Kraftort – direkt an der Küste gelegen, absolut ruhig und abgeschieden mit einem atemberaubenden Blick. Die Lage ist spektakulär, perfekt zum Abschalten und Auftanken. Das gesamte Team war äußerst freundlich und hochmotiviert – der Service ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders begeistert hat mich die entspannte Massage – einfach himmlisch. Das Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr sauber und mit seinen hohen Decken wunderbar großzügig. Ein Ort, an den man definitiv zurückkehren...

“We had an amazing room, The Penthouse, with beautiful views of the coast. Had a very warm welcome. We did repeatedly say the trip was to celebrate our Ruby wedding Anniversary but this was not acknowledged! The interior decor and setting is beautiful. “Excellent Hotel, located right opposite the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and food was good, both at breakfast & dinner. Great size room, with amazing views. There is parking next to the Hotel in a pay & display car park, which is £10 for 24 hours”

“The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super dog friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. ”

When we arrived it was literally 5 mis before they stopped serving food BUT the chap said I'll go and ask the chef .,. He did and we enjoyed a very hearty excellent steak and ale pie each. Absolutely delicious, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast cooked to order and v attentive staff throughout.”

“Although we didn't get to meet our hostess, the owner/host and his staff were fantastic. The pub was cosy and clean and extremely reasonably priced and the service was amazing. Very pleasant and friendly people who genuinely cared about making our stay pleasurable. Absolutely recommend and should we find ourselves down that way again, we will most certainly stay here. “Hotel was lovely, had everything we liked. Lovely outside area, pool and we even enjoyed the pool table. The food was fantastic 5 star and really made our stay. Would definitely go back again. Only one thing that could possibly make stay even better is a little fan in the rooms when it’s super hot, especially on ground floor. ”

“The Anchor Inn is an absolute gem! The rooms are a good size and well-appointed, if perhaps a little dated. Super friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble.
