This was our first time to the Caymans and we tried VRBO for the first time for a family vacation this far away (traveling with two teenagers now and need more room). This place did not disappoint! Plenty of space - one bedroom for the teens, one for the parents. Kitchen and eating areas and stocked properly. Kaibo restaurant/bar in a beautiful beachside setting is a very short walk away (not open 7 days a week). The VRBO unit sits right on the beach, which in mid July was almost completely to ourselves. If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is it! Very calm and peaceful. Even the ocean is calm (no waves there, so it's almost lagoon like, but you'll see some Starfish and Stingrays from time to time, just at the beach steps away from the VRBO). Sometimes went days and didn't really even see another human. Beach chairs always empty. Rented a car and toured the island or just to go out for dinner (which can be very confusing and often no cell range / no GPS) several different days. Horseback riding on the beach and into the water, and a catamaran tour out to Stingray Island is a must. VRBO is right next to Starfish Point, so you can easily go swim the beaches there and see dozens of Starfish. Most of the activities will require a drive somewhere else on the island, which we were ok with. Rental car is key, as we didn't see many other options.
If you're looking for a very peaceful, quiet getaway from the world...this is your place!
