“The Cabot Lodge is a quaint, adorable, wonderful place to stay! The room itself is tiny but the bathroom is spacious. The room has everything you need, including a sound machine! “This is a beautiful property with newly renovated rooms. The micro rooms are perfect for a solo traveler. The front desk staff were fine but not particularly friendly. My biggest complaint is the cafe is closed on Wednesday and Thursday, which really doesnt make sense as a traveler who will gladly pay for an iced latte or 2 every morning. “I absolutely loved my stay! My dream place in Salem! The kindness of the staff, the cleanliness, the location, the price—everything is perfect! “Overpriced for what you get... Room that felt like a prison cell, bright, stark, cool blue ceiling lighting, with a sheet metal bed base that made a lot of noise. They required a random $50 deposit, then took 10 mins to provide a receipt. Upon check out, we presented the receipt to the clerk, who then argued for 10 mins about giving me back the $50 cash, before finally having it over. We wouldn't recommend this place, even to the thrifty traveler.”

"The hotel quality was average, with a nice swimming pool and very good room cleaning service. On the downsides, the hotel has no laundry and we were particularly unlucky as our neighbors did run an apparently very entertaining (for them..) night party from 1030pm till 2am. That is not a fault of the hotel obviously, nevertheless we asked the reception for support at about midnight and if any action was taken, it had no effect on the party…"
