“For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas (NM)..! :) The city is one of our favorite destinations in the state, and we love taking the scenic route (Hwy. 104) from Tucumcari to get there! :) It was our first time to stay at the Plaza. “The room, lobby , and breakfast area were very clean and organized. Brianna a receptionist was very helpful and accommodating after I had a deer car wreck. It appears the motel was undergoing some remodeling. However, the grounds even out of the remodel area needed some daily maintenance. Pieces of a broom, wrapping paper, empty plastic bottles assorted trash, took away from the beauty of the motel.”

“Great restaurant and bar but both are closed on Monday and Tuesday. When you book, stipulate that you do NOT want the room (104) next door to the kitchen on the far end of the hotel. An unfortunate location with a forgotten entry area and view of the trash dumpsters. Room was spacious and clean but the location was extremely disappointing and we were put there because other rooms hadnt been cleaned.”

“Breakfast was good, overall stay was pleasant, did not like the fact that iron was tied to ironing board with extremely short cable making ironing clothes very difficult.”

“Friendly staff. Clean crisp room. Great water pressure. Indoor pool. On site restaurant and bar. walking distance to other food options. Small gift shop in the lobby. No uber or taxi service in Raton.”

“This is a budget motel and was chosen because of an indoor pool, which was under construction and not usable. Staff was not exactly available and breakfast was lacking. When staff responded, they made it audibly known they were frustrated with having to do their job. Not that we’d ever come through again, but if we did we’d hit up the Beat Western instead.”

“This is more a review about La Quinta as a franchise instead of one single location. The recent change made to their WiFi options is terrible. To receive free WiFi, you must create a Wyndham account (which I didn’t want), but when trying to use said account for verification to access the WiFi, I could not get past the authentication page.
