Hotel a Northern Alberta

“I booked this hotel through Expedia as I was looking for a pet friendly family suite. I booked a room that noted it was both pet friendly and had a separate bedroom. When we arrived and I was checking in I was advised that the suite I booked was NOT pet friendly and they had no pet friendly suites. And because I prebooked the room with Expedia I couldnt change to a pet room or get my money back. The only option I was given was to pay for a basic room where one member of my family could sleep...

“When we first arrived we were locked in our room. After struggling for 10 minutes with the door, my wife called down to the front desk. Their suggestion was to ‘pull hard’. We finally got out. The maintenance man came and fixed the door, but then it would not latch. It could be pushed open from the hallway. Maintenance came to fix the door again which took about an hour. We were given a room on the ground floor with access to our parking spot! The room itself was large and spacious. It had a lovely kitchenette with a fridge large enough for our little soft sider cooler, as we had froze meat in it we needed to keep frozen. “Good location. Walmart across the street. Room was clean, but old. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was simple - oatmeal with coffee or tea, bagels, muffins, some individually packed jam and Philadelphia cheese, apples and oranges. Not fancy, but it works. For the price it deserves five stars. Will stay here again.”
