Cheerful 3 Bedroom home on a semi-private lake

  • Experience the lake life with this 3 bedroom 2 bath home. You can kayak or canoe with the provided boats. Take time to fish or just take in the piece and quiet of the beautiful 20acre semi-private lake. Relax with the whole family on the back porch that overlooks the water. There is a 14’ Jonboat with trolling motor for use on the water (You will need a vehicle with a 2" ball to move the boat). After a fun day at the lake enjoy a nice fire at the firepit by the water to make more memories. The property has slopes to the lake and guests would need to be comfortable walk up stairs and slopes. Please note as of 7-1-23 the water level in the lake is low due to repairs being made to the dam.

Beautiful

Most relaxing place to stay in ky and the view of the lake is breathtaking. Very quiet and peaceful area, This was our second trip here and more to come, very well cleaned and stocked kitchen. Can’t wait to come back .

Home away from Home

Jay was in communication from the very beginning after booking. We made a mistake on the dates and Jay accommodated us by being able to add an additional day to our booking. Long weekend relaxation

This property was lovely and such a fantastic view on the lake. We loved sitting on the huge back porch and watching the wildlife and sunsets. The home was well appointed with plenty of seating and kitchenware. The outdoor equipment (kayaks, fishing poles, etc) was a great bonus that we enjoyed. Very convenient location to Madisonville and close to enough to branch out to the state parks and sightsee. We will definitely stay again when we need to visit family in the area or as a halfway stops to family in St. Louis!

Stay here if you can!

This house was clean and beautiful! Bigger than pictures show and the backyard was our own peaceful, private paradise. The kayaks and paddle board were in excellent shape and one of the girls loved the diving board. We had the lake to ourselves the whole time. We cooked all our meals there and played so many games (we brought our faves but there were plenty to choose from if we hadn’t.) Thank you for sharing your fabulous lake house with us!

KY Hidden Gem

I booked this property for a much needed weekend getaway with my family. Management took great care of us for all of our booking needs. The property was clean and spacious. We had lake views from every room, even the laundry room (which having a washer and dryer is a huge plus when traveling with children). There are a few local stores close by, and major stores/restaurants within a 30 minute drive. The lake was beautiful and quiet. The property layout allowed for plenty of personal space for both children and adults. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend this property for couples as well as families.

30th anniversary fishing trip

This was our 30th anniversary of a fishing trip we take in memory of a great friend. This was our first trip to Jays house. I'm pretty sure it won't be our last. Everything was just about perfect. I'm not sure we realized the house was in a "neighborhood", but that really wasn't an issue. The only this that could have been better, and this wasn't Jay's fault, was that the lake had an issue with the dam and was about 20-25' lower than normal. It made fishing a little more difficult, but it didn't affect our fun at all. Boat worked great, the covered deck was great for cards after fishing or hiking at Pennyrile State Park. All and all, a great time was had by all.
