Oak House: Tour e Visite Guidate

Room was ok. No sofa bed as expected, just a chair. No A/c but did have a fan and could have the windows open which was nice. Bed was a bit soft for me and creaked as I turned over. Mentioned it to the receptionist who very kindly said I could move to another room. I decided to stay where I was. Evening food was quite nice, carvery at times looked a bit stale, but did try it one night and enjoyed it. Drinks were not too expensive. Breakfast was disappointing. Lovely bacon and sausage, but none of it hot. Juices weren’t cold and had to ask for them to be refilled. Toasters were ridiculously slow and didn’t really toast the bread properly. Need replacing. Just jugs of hot water and coffee, which were not hot. It does get extremely busy on a Saturday night. So definitely need to book a table. Nice sitting outside on the verandah overlooking Billing aquadrome, but did fine it very smelly outside, wherever we were. Don’t think I’d revisit. I think the staff do their best, were friendly and worked hard.

Lovely one night stay ahead of s wedding locally. Nice rooms. Great breakfast. Bar area decent as well.
