The property overall was very nice. There were some discrepancies / misleading information in the listing. For example, the listing said 4 king beds and there were actually only 3. It said 2 dbl sofas in common area, however, they were set up in an "L" formation and couldn't both be used. The listing said ice maker. We've rented at the beach for this same group for 10 years and all the houses for this many people had an actual stand-alone ice maker to keep up. The ice maker was in the fridge door and didn't have a chance at keeping up. We had to make ice runs every day. We arrived on a Saturday and the pool was literally full of gnats / fruit flies/ no-see-ums - actually black puddles of them on the bottom and a layer floating on top. The bugs at the beach are expected - I get that. I called right away and left a message, no reply. I called and spoke to someone on Sunday and no one came out. On Monday no one at the rental company answered the phone in the hour I called repeatedly, so I had to drive down there to get help with the pool. They sent someone out and turns out there were so many bugs the filter was plugged and the pool was getting no circulation. I have a pool at home and some familiarity with their workings. They said the pool was cleaned on the Saturday we arrived - no way. After it was cleaned Monday we had the bugs for 2 more days before the wind shifted and the filter kept up fine.
