Quiet, Quaint, and Close to the Beach!

The Ruff Seas was originally built as a fisherman’s cottage after hurricane Hazel. The house is on the woodland side of the island and a quick 7 minute walk to beach. This lot has an extra relaxed feel, as a neighboring lot is undeveloped. The cottage sits back from the street. Behind a picket fence is the porch and it is truly wonderful with floor to ceiling screening and unobstructed views of the flora and fauna.
coming in off the porch you enter a very comfortable and open living area that flows into a huge dining table and kitchen beyond.
There are so many extras..... A Carport to bring the groceries in when it rains or to put new wax on your surfboard. Outdoor shower to rinse off you and the seashells. Gas grill to prepare that fresh caught flounder.

We loved this spot! We had our 8 year old and our baby who turned 1 while we were there. The house was so cute and stocked up with a kitchen that felt like our own, super fun games, an assortment of books, puzzles and even a yoga mat. We loved the front porch and sat out there every morning to drink coffee while the kids played. The outdoor shower was great and they had tons of beach stuff- chairs, toys, cart, etc. We also were able to walk to the beach with both kids and our beach cart everyday - not a bad walk at all.

We fully enjoyed our time at the house. The house was completely cleaned and fully equipped for everything you need. The outside shower was a convenient when coming back from the beach. The house is walking distance to the beach. It was a great time at the house

Loely, clean cottage in a quiet neighborhood.

Peaceful cottage

The cottage was adorable and felt like home. A lot of thought was put into the decorating and all the extras included. Craig even let us know the house was ready for check in earlier than expected. The house is nestled in the woods on a quiet street. The large screened in porch was the perfect place to spend our mornings and evenings. We hope to visit again soon.

Beautiful bungalow

This property has all the amenities. Great coffee maker, beds were super comfortable, lovely layout. An inviting porch. Outside Shower after the beach is the best. We will be back. So happy with our stay.

Perfect spot!

Charming, cozy, amazing!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was the perfect size for our family of 4 (2 kids under 4). It really had everything we could ask for and more! Every little kitchen utensil, nontoxic cleaning products, thoughtful touches, beach gear, the most amazing screened-in porch, and wonderful access to the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants.The outdoor shower was perfect for after beach rinsing, and the cooler backpack was clutch! We cannot wait to come back!

Perfect!!!

This rental was over the top! All the extras made this rental totally fabulous . Of all the rentals we have stayed in for the past few years, this one was exceptionally well equipped to the point we didn’t even have to unpack some of the items we travel with. The unit was clean, listing was spot on. Communication with owner was great. Location was excellent. . I would definitely go back again and again. Thanks so much for making our mini vacation, not only memorable, but stress free.

Wonderfuly stocked house

We srived just before the huricqin made landfall and had to spend a few days more in the house then planed but this house had everything you could think of needing stocked, games/books, cooking items all amazing.

So many extras, no need to overpack for a small group

My group had three adults and we loved this house! Close to the beach and the public beach access, kitchen was stocked with essentials, and the screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and late night hanging out. The cherry on top was the beachsupplies

Oak Island Getaway

Peaceful location. The house was very clean and charming. It was well equipped as if you lived there yourself. Close enough to the beach if you decided to walk. Good location to get to shops/stores for any of your needs.

A girls weekend to remember

It’s not often that you become close enough with your coworkers that you’re able to have a beach weekend with them, but I’m lucky enough to call my marketing girls my sisters :) This weekend is just what we all needed and it was a wonderful time. This home is so warm and inviting and is the perfect place for making memories. It’s close enough to all of the great restaurants on Oak Island and close enough to walk to the ocean to watch the sunrise. I’m counting down the days until we can come back!

I felt like a VIP!

We can't say enough good things about this place we were incredibly impressed! Anything you could possibly need or imagine for a beach visit is available for you. A cooler, even a big bag of ice in the freezer for the cooler, sunscreen, towels, chairs, cabana, beach games, you name and it's already there! All you have to do is get your self there and the rest is provided. I especially loved the screened in porch and would sit out there each morning and drink my coffee and watch the news. Don't even get me started on the kitchen I could go all day. But if you need it rest assured they have every utensil, gadget, pot you could imagine. It was such a pleasure staying there and the location was perfect, just a 7 minute walk to the beach. When we return to Oak Island this place is the first place I'm trying to book if we're that lucky again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!! Anyone reading this review considering to stay, do it! You will be glad you did!
