Airy Apartment with Separate Entrance Steps from Downtown

Our modern apartment has a separate entrance, keypad lock for self check-in and 40 Mbps Wifi. Filled with sunlight, unique art, and amenities, other nice touches here include pale hardwood floors, a reading nook and a kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals for four. Our home is steps from dozens of restaurants that serve takeout and a 15 min walk from the beach for sunsets.

We follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. We live upstairs if you need anything. Our space has 6'4” ceilings and you may occasionally hear our footsteps.

The apartment has two bedrooms, each with queen beds. It has a complete kitchen, including a stove/oven, blender, microwave, coffee grinder, french press, pots & pans and table settings for 4. It also has a washer/dryer. In the bathroom, there is a 72 inch tub for long soaks. The ceiling height is 6 feet 3 inches throughout the apartment and slightly less at the entry doorway. We live upstairs and you will likely hear the occasional footstep (it isn't a cottage in the woods). Street parking is usually found within a block of the unit.

You have access to the entire apartment with a separate entrance. The unit has a keypad lock and you will have your own code for the duration of your stay. There are no common spaces.

Choose from dozens of proprietor-owned restaurants, with Burma Superstar a particular recommendation. Together with bookstores, cafes, and the historic Alameda Theater, they're all just a short stroll away, while the beach is a 15-minute walk.

San Francisco is accessible via a casual carpool 1 block away in the morning, the OSX bus 1 block away and the Fruitvale BART station, which is a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk. The Alameda Ferry Terminal is a short drive for hops over to San Francisco or Oakland's Jack London Square.

The Oakland Airport is a 5 minute drive away. SFO takes about 40 minutes driving (depending on traffic) or 50 minutes on BART.

There is usually plenty of street parking (though please watch the street cleaning days).

We have a dog, so please stay out of the backyard. There are many lovely places to sit outside and sip coffee or wine within 3-5 minutes walk from our home. While we work out of the house and our kids are in school during the weekdays, on weekends and during holidays we are usually home. Just text or call if you need us to be a little quieter.
