A cozy and private home
Tree Top Lodge is a lovely cabin nestled in the Gallatin Woods neighborhood. It's removed enough from the hustle of Deep Creek tourism while still being only a 10 -15 minute drive from anything you need (groceries, lake rentals, restaurants, Deep Creek State Park). The interior of the house itself was super clean and well thought-out. The blankets were all the rage within our family, and the beds are super cozy. We all had nothing but good things to say about the home itself, however, the hot tub was pretty disgusting. It seemed as though it hadn't actually been cleaned in months, though the service date on it was from four days prior, and it kept tripping the breaker. We tried to clean what we could but it was a little too far gone. While it was mentioned that the functionality of the hot tub (the main amenity we wanted to use in the house) wasn't guaranteed, it was still pretty disappointing not to be able to relax in it. We stayed over a long weekend, and the hot tub repair/service company was closed, so that was a bummer. There was also a lot of garbage from the previous guests stuffed in the cup holders of the swings at the lower-level outdoor area, which is more of a guest issue than an ownership issue - maybe just put it on the checklist of things to be checked/cleaned in the future.
Overall the stay was great and we would stay again. Despite the hot tub, I would still recommend staying at this cabin to friends and family! Thanks for a great weekend!
