  • Abbiamo un grazioso appartamento per famiglie con 1 camera da letto, 1ba, vicino al teatro Grand Lake e al lago Merrit. L'appartamento si trova in una casa di epoca Artigiano, vicino a Lakeshore e Grand Ave a Oakland, che sono due strade molto popolari con molto da offrire.


    Il soggiorno è luminoso e spazioso e comprende un nuovo divano letto queen size e una TV a schermo piatto ROKU, il Wi-Fi è anche incluso. C'è anche un tavolo da pranzo full size in questa stanza.

    La prima camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale che è molto confortevole. C'è anche una vanità, una cassettiera e un armadio completo. Abbiamo un materasso per bambini, Graco Pack n Play, un seggiolino per bambini e un grande cubo di attività in legno / giocattolo per i bambini piccoli riposti in questo armadio per il vostro uso, se vi capita di viaggiare con i bambini.

    La seconda camera da letto ha un futon con un materasso matrimoniale, che può essere utilizzato come area salotto extra o può essere convertito in un letto. Questa camera ha anche armadi a muro con ampio spazio e biancheria da letto extra. Inoltre, ci sono alcuni giochi negli armadi, disponibili per l'uso.

    Il bagno è stato recentemente rinnovato e ha una doccia sopra la vasca. È pulito e ben arredato. La cucina in cucina è apparecchiata con un tavolino per 2, che ha anche una foglia per espandersi al posto 4. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con tutti i tuoi utensili e utensili da cucina di base. Ha un frigorifero completo e freezer, forno completo con piano cottura, forno a microonde, tostapane e macchina per il caffè.

    Il nostro quartiere ha un grande senso di comunità ed è molto percorribile, con molti ristoranti, caffè, bar e negozi tutti in pochi minuti. Abbiamo il mercato di un mercante di Joe e il negozio di alimentari Safeway a pochi passi. E ogni sabato puoi camminare per pochi isolati fino al Grand Lake Farmers Market, che è il miglior mercato della zona, a mani basse! Lì troverai prodotti biologici, una varietà di cibi e intrattenimento. È anche a soli 15 minuti dal centro di San Francisco ea soli 10 minuti dalla storica Jack London Square a Oakland, in auto. Gli autobus AC Transit arrivano ai terminal dei traghetti di Jack London o BART, quindi è facile spostarsi con o senza auto.

This was my second stay at this ideal Grand Lake property, and it has become my home away from home. Jennifer is incredibly accommodating with special requests, and so quick to respond! I adore this spacious 2 bedroom beauty with the gorgeous bay window view. There is no need to ever drive, everything you could possibly want is within walking distance, and the nearest BART station is just a couple miles away and a very short uber ride. This property is consistently clean, quiet, cozy, and convenient, and the neighborhood is a delight to explore. I am so grateful for this lovely property and hope to continue to visit regularly!

Great Location and kid friendly

We had an enjoyable 4 night stay here. Listing as advertised, and had sleeping option and toys for our 2.5 year old. Also very walkable, which is great in general, but especially with a small child. Would stay again.

We not only enjoyed the apartment, but we also were pleased with it’s close location to restaurants, the Grand Lake Theater, and shopping. The neighborhood is very walkable, or ride-shares were always available. The host was helpful and responsive

As advertised, safe & quiet

Jenn was a terrific host, very responsive and accommodating. Property was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet, and accessing the unit was no problem using instructions sent for check-in. RE: previous reviews bringing up the bathroom window - everything was fine while I stayed. WiFi worked well, easy walking access to farmer's market, shops, restaurants, and lake. If I need a place to stay the next time I visit Oakland, I'll be checking first to see if this rental is available. Highly recommend.

Great stay in Oakland

We stayed at this property twice at the bookends of our vacation since we were flying out of SFO. The property is located near some great restaurants and Trader Joe's is just down the street for easy groceries. There was plenty of space for our party of 6. Parking can be a bit of a hit or miss. It is on a very steep hill and the driveway is too narrow for most modern cars, but we were always able to find a spot nearby and felt that the area was safe. Overall great value for the location and convenience. Thank you!

Lovely! Just missing a locked window

The apartment is in a safe, lovely, walkable neighborhood. Everything about the description is accurate. The beds were comfy and the remodeled bathroom checks all the boxes. The apartment has a host of items that made traveling with little kids so much easier. There is a travel crib, toys, coloring items, and more. The driveway is narrow so only use if you have the skills of a valet. Parking on the street might take a minute but doable. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that one of the windows in the bathroom doesn’t actually lock, which we realized toward the end of our stay.

Great Location

Could not have asked for a better place for my friend and me, who were in Oakland to attend a wedding. We did not have a car, so the convenience of having lots of restaurants and a grocery store within easy walking distance was very much appreciated. It's also close to several bus lines including at least 2 that will take you to/from the MacArthur BART stop, for those using SFO. The single bathroom is easy for two non-coupled people to share because it is separate from the bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again, and my friend said he would move in if the owners would let him rent it! Since he lives in NY, that's just talk, but it says a lot about the place.

Pros: The place was spacious and in a good location. Cons: everything seemed secondhand or worn, ants in the bathroom, no top sheets on the beds or any spare sheets in storage, and two windows had broken locks which I immediately alerted the owners about. They initially responded by asking for details but then stopped communicating with me for over an hour. I opened a case with VRBO customer service and then the owners came up with a solution but they didn’t even offer a discount for the inconvenience. Wouldn’t stay again.

A Hidden Gem in the Lakeshore Neighborhood

So many good things to say about this wonderful abode. I stayed on the main floor (two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room...all very spacious with high ceilings). The moment I walked into this house, I felt at home (reminded me of my 1920 house in Seattle...in fact, this house was built in 1922 and has the same hardwood floors as my home. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything: glasses, cups, bowls, pans, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator/freezer and cute little nook table. There are spices in the cupboards and the hosts stocked a bit of food for me in the refrigerator (nice touch). The bathroom had shampoo, soap and many towels and washcloths...no need to bring your own. There is an ironing board with a new iron. The house is VERY QUIET. I slept great each of the eleven nights I stayed. Plenty of pillows and bedding. The house is located only two and a half blocks away from the small, but bustling, Grand Avenue area where there are many restaurants. Also, a great bookstore (Walden Pond Books) on Grand, just a few minute walk from the house. I also spent a lot of time at The Grand Lake move theater...again, just a few minute walk from the house. The neighborhood is super cute and very walkable. There are a lot of nice houses in the area and I felt safe walking around at all times. The owner, Jennifer, was incredibly responsive to all of my messages. She was really on top of things, answering all of my questions within minutes. A+++++++++

Loved our stay!

We had a great stay here with our 1 and 4 year olds. They loved playing with the toys in the house. The beds were comfortable. The place is very cozy and we loved being able to walk to restaurants, Trader Joe's, the lake, and Children's Fairyland. It was also an easy drive into San Francisco and to and from SFO airport. Great place and location! And the hosts were very accommodating and helpful too!

Great location of Lakeshore

The accommodations were as they appeared on booking page. Easy to find your way around the kitchen and use of items in refrigerator, bottled water was in refrigerator so it was great to have a few bottles that first night. Very clean and a quiet neighborhood . Street parking was not too great & a narrow driveway to park in drive way. That first night the residence car was parked at an angle which made it a little difficult to park our car. They have the best fluffy bath towels, must say better than hotel towels. If you wish to watch TV , you need to have a streaming account for direct TV Now or something of that nature to get movies to watch. Overall , I recommend this location. Thanks to the host who had a great list of restaurants and sightseeing locations to go to. Oh, restaurants close @9 pm. We were fortunate to find a Chinese restaurant that was open late on Grand Ave. Acosta from Grand theater. We enjoyed the food and they had a huge takeaway while there eating, traffic was heavy with people picking up as well as another day we did takeaway. The host was accommodating and I have the greatest respect for making sure we had a fantastic stay. Our family had no complaints so it was a great time in Oakland, we were not far from where we travel to events we went to.

Great base for travelling into San Francisco

Lovely apartment, very spacious. Easy walk to bart to get into San Francisco and some nice places to eat just down the road including the amazing Arizmendi bakery. Owners were very prompt and helpful communication wise. If you're planning to park on the drive I would recommend an SUV for the ground clearance but otherwise we parked with no issues.
