A warm welcome to Obing, where you’ll be staying with Annemarie and Hans Herbst, in the beautiful Chiemgau region (Bavaria), just 8 km from Lake Chiemsee, with the Chiemgau Alps to the south. Obing is easily accessible via the A8 or the B304 and is located exactly halfway between Munich and Salzburg on the B304.
Look forward to a tastefully furnished apartment where you’ll feel right at home, featuring Wi-Fi, a large flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, toilet, and bathtub, underfloor heating, tile floors, roller shutters, and a furnished terrace or loggia. A washing machine is provided. Children are welcome; pets are not allowed; this is a non-smoking vacation rental. A free parking space right next to the house and a lockable garage for your bicycles and skis are available for your use. Our house is located on the southern edge of town; the bakery and a variety of shopping options, restaurants, and beer gardens are about 500 m away. Music, cultural, and sports activities await you, including a golf course, mini-golf, and the wheelchair-accessible, well-maintained beach with a large kiosk, plenty of seating and lounging areas, a children’s play area, and a beach volleyball court. The open-concept living space is divided by a room divider into a kitchen with a large dining table and a living area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove featuring a glass-ceramic cooktop and oven, a large refrigerator with an integrated freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster.
The living area features a large couch (sofa bed), a table, and a game board, and includes satellite TV, Wi-Fi guest access, and a large flat-screen TV.
The vacation rental has a large bedroom with one double bed (which can also be converted into two single beds) and two single beds.
The bathroom is equipped with a sink, bathtub/shower, and toilet.

Obing is located about 10 km north of Lake Chiemsee, exactly halfway between Munich and Salzburg. The town features a well-maintained beach with a kiosk, a children’s playground, and a beach volleyball court, as well as golf and mini-golf courses, large beer gardens, and excellent dining options.
Obing—an ideal starting point for day trips, for example, to Wasserburg/Inn, Munich, Salzburg, Burghausen, or to the Hochfelln, one of our Chiemgau mountains. Many other attractions in the region are also easily accessible.
Numerous swimming lakes (in the Seeoner Seen and Eggstätt-Hemhofer-Seenplatte nature reserves) invite you to take a dip. The largest of our many swimming lakes is Lake Chiemsee, with its famous islands, Herrenchiemsee and Frauenchiemsee.
