  • Calypso 409 is a spacious, three bedroom oceanfront condo located midtown on 62nd street in Ocean City, Maryland. Featuring two oceanfront balconies, this unit will provide unimpeded views of the shoreline and undulating waves from sunrise to sunset. Relax in the beautifully decorated open living area where all of your guests can gather to bond - the amateur chefs in the group can whip up their signature dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen and serve on either the breakfast bar or separate dining table. Entertainment is a snap with streaming TV's in each bedroom, the living room and the den, and complimentary Wifi at your disposal. Calypso amenities include an elevator for easy access, two parking spots (register upon arrival) and an outdoor pool when you want to take a morning dip or have just tired of the sand and surf towards the end of the day. This building is ideally located just across Coastal Highway from the Route 90 bridge - easily drive to the famous Ocean City Boardwalk or take a stroll to nearby restaurants such as Rosenfeld's, Fager's Island, and Dead Freddie's among others. Sleeping up to 12 guests, there are multiple bedding choices including the primary bedroom with a king, the 2nd bedroom with two full sized beds, the 3rd bedroom with a pyramid bunk and a rollaway if needed, and the den and living room both with queen sleeper sofas. Guest must supply sheets, towels, soaps and paper products. An optional linen package is available for purchase for this property and would be delivered to the condo on your day of arrival and picked up on your day of departure. The package would include sheet sets for each bed and towel sets equaling the maximum occupancy of the condo. A washer and dryer is provided in the condo for your convenience.
    This property rents Saturday to Saturday in peak season and any four nights off season.
    Non-smoking, non-vaping. No pets, please. Property owner does not rent to groups under the age of 25.

We were very pleased. There was one more bathroom than advertised. The only thing we had problems with there was a deck chair that was broken. We tried to fix it, but it’s not fixing to it. And we had issues with the air conditioner.

Great oceanfront property! Excellent location in mid town OCMD! Plenty of space inside and out on the two oceanfront patios! Our family will definitely be back next year!

Kind of a let down

I checked in and spent the first two hours cleaning the condo. The beds were not made, the covers had stains on them, the carpets were not vacuumed, the jacuzzi tub had a soap scum ring, kitchen countertops had crumbs on them. In the bedroom with the two double beds, the air conditioner was leaking down the wall, leaving a puddle on the ground- I called and reported it to the maintenance line and they never sent anyone out. The next day there was a mushroom growing out of the carpet on the floor where the leak was. The actual filters in the ac units looked as though they were never cleaned. The curtains covering the sliding doors were not functional and we had to use a chip clip to keep them closed. The entryway to the condo building itself was so stinky. It’s a shame because the finishes in the condo are nice, but the cleaning and management services are terrible. This is not what I would expect paying over $6,000 for a week.
