Sunset Cove - F213 at North Coast Village

Sunset Cove is a cozy beach condo with a stunning west-facing ocean view. It’s located in North Coast Village and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The condo was recently renovated in 2023.

The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and beautiful granite countertops. The living room is comfortable and inviting, with a custom sofa sleeper and loveseat. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin beds.

Make My Vacation takes care of all the essentials, including linens, towels, beach chairs, and beach towels. They also provide a TV in the living room and free wireless internet.

North Coast Village is an oceanfront tropical paradise located between the Oceanside Harbor and the Oceanside Pier, and is a favorite destination for vacationers from around the world. You'll enjoy the beautiful waterfalls, streams, lagoon-style year-round heated pool and spa, putting green, new exercise rooms, saunas, and recreation rooms with table tennis and billiards.

The complex consists of nine four-story buildings surrounded by two-story cottages, on several acres of lushly landscaped tropical grounds. You are just steps from the sand; there are no roads to cross-this is an OCEANFRONT COMPLEX! Swim in the large heated pool (one of two pools and spas), or enjoy a romantic walk on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Southern California.

North Coast Village offers a new fitness center with saunas, and a barbecue area overlooking the pool. You will also find reserved garage parking, cable television, a recreation center, clubhouse with kitchen, massive stone fireplace as well as laundry facilities.

Parties or events are not allowed at this property.

The Mainstreet Oceanside Farmer's Market is a delightful experience near the Pier which takes place every Thursday from 9-1, and and the Sunset Market Thursday evenings from 5-9.

Experience spectacular sunsets and enjoy a relaxing dinner along the picturesque adjacent harbor which features several excellent restaurants, great live music, and fun and unique shopping. There are also kayak, boat, and paddle boat rentals, and fishing or whale watching excursions.

Within a short drive, visit Disneyland & California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, Balboa Island, La Jolla, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Mission Luis Rey, Queen Mary, San Diego State Parks, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Sea World, The Flower Fields of Carlsbad, Temecula Wine Country, San Diego Zoo, Del Mar Racetrack, Coronado Island, Oceanside Harbor, Birch Aquarium at Scripp's Institute of Oceanography, and Palomar Observatory.

Overall, great place! The cleaning could’ve been more thorough as we found food and clothes under the bed, under a swivel chair, and in one of the backpack chairs. The pictures don’t do the place justice, inside is just as nice, but the view in person is so so much better!! The kitchen could’ve used at least a way to steam vegetables, and another baking pan or two. But again, overall, great kitchen! Both bathrooms are inside the bedroom, slightly inconvenient if you’re having people over. The grounds are absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed walking around and enjoying at the beautiful foliage and huge Koi fish. The beach is an easy walk with a couple of shower stations in between to clean off the sand. This is definitely a family friendly place, the pool and hot tub were always filled with kids, many, many, many kids! Even the adults only hot tub had children, both accompanied by their parents and alone. However, the Koi pond and community center with the pool tables and a nice area to hang out were always empty. The town of Oceanside is incredibly full of tourists which made traffic awful. Anything close took us three times as long, for example we went 2 1/2 miles and it took 20 minutes. Coming back into town from an outing took us 36 minutes to go 8 miles. But if you stock up well, you don’t have to leave the complex!

multi-step check-in

The ease and high expectations i have when it comes to VRBO properties was just not met with this one. To start, I contacted the management company with ample time and asked if we could check-in around 12 or 1pm (check-in is 3pm) so my young son could nap. They said they couldn't guarantee early check-in but would let me come in a day early for half price. So if the unit was available 24 hours before, why not 2 hours before? And I understand that this is not necessary for them to do but I have booked with this company before and it left a bad taste in my mouth. They eventually let us check-in at 2pm which the security hadn't been alerted to and made me show proof of in my text messages. So the check-in process is multi-step. You have to go to a hard to locate office, pick up keys, then go to your unit's parking spot and then up to your unit. This might not be a big deal for a lot of people but I thought it was worth flagging because I am 8 months pregnant and traveling with a small child and it was annoying. When we got in the unit it was as advertised, freshly renovated and very clean. The screen door onto the patio was totally off its track and was a bit of a hazard every time we went on the patio. My family was there to go to Legoland but it's also worth noting that the closest beach (walkable) has a giant tube laying across the beach make it an unusable construction area.

Easy family ocean stay

Overall great property. This unit is on the end of the building facing the ocean so has a great view of sunset through the living room and balcony. Master has double views of harbor and beach with second bedroom facing the harbor. Ants for sure are in issue. Almost gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of this. Check in detail that ants are present in several properties and “ a common occurrence in beach-front condominiums in San Diego.” We had to quickly put food away and keep stuff in the cupboards or the ants were quick to show. They even found my natural body products. But overall the unit itself is very clean and updated. We have seen three units here and overall like this style, view, updates, and location best. Both bathrooms are located inside the two bedrooms. So must enter a room to use the restroom. Staff is helpful. Can walk right to the beach, ice cream shop, and restaurants. Pool was heated and clean even though lots of folks using it. Laundry is not in unit but easy to access. Uses an app on your phone to pay. My kids really enjoyed our trip here. We will be back.

Perfect spot!

I have stayed at NCV a handful of times and this was the best trip yet! The views, the breeze, the location of this unit is everything. My parents and sister were staying in different units and everyone would come to our unit for meals. We comfortably fit 8 adults and 6 kids in the kitchen, living room, and patio to eat. The kitchen was really well stocked as far as dishes, Tupperware, pots, pans, utensils… so that we could enjoy over a week here without having to dine out all the time! There was a pack and play available for our little guy. I will note that the listing said one shower had a bath and that is not the case. We had no issue but if you are bringing little ones, keep that in mind. The property as a whole is great because you’re right there on the beach but you also have the pool. My kids LOVE going to feed the koi fish and ducks and get so excited to see the ducklings. There is a place to play putt putt and a game room with a couple pool tables and foozball. We had a great trip and plan to book again next summer.

Perfect view of the South Jetty breaks

Having grown up in South Riverside County and driving to O'side many days a week as a kid and adult to surf, I wish I could live in this condo. The views couldn't be any better and the condo itself was great. Everything you need for a great stay. The grandkids loved the coy fish and the put-put. The pool and the hot tub were great as well. Overall I plan to make this place our stay in our yearly visits from Michigan. And when I say this place, I will specifically be looking for this condo in particular. On a bonus note, I accidentally left some clothing and surf gear in a drawer of the dresser and the owner/manager kindly had them shipped to me immediately and I received them within a couple of days. Thanks much! As much as that may not seem like a big thing, I've had this happen before a couple of times where the response was, "No, we didn't find anything" because they didn't want to take the time to help out.

The grounds in the area are clean and well kept. The landscaping is gorgeous. The beach is a short walk and there are several restaurants within walking distance as well. Would recommend this place.

Amazing!

We absolutely loved this condo. The location was perfect. Ocean views and right near an elevator right above the parking garage entrance. We travel with an elderly family member and this was by far the most mobility accommodating place in Oceanside we’ve rented. I cannot say enough about the grounds of North Coast Village. I was blown away with the jungle feel and koi ponds and secluded hot tub area. Waterfall views from the gym. The pool is one you would find at a high end resort vacation spot. We will definitely only be staying here from now on for our Oceanside trips!

Good location but need updates

Great view of the ocean. The condo has a good layout for families, newer carpet and we used the gas fireplace since it was chillier weather. The bathrooms and kitchen are showing their age and need to be updated. The carpet in the hallway is very worn, needs a cleaning or just needs to be replaced. The property manager communicated frequently and checked in with us which is appreciated.

Overall good experience!

This condos view cannot be beat. Both us and our children had ocean views from our rooms and the patio was absolutely perfect for watching the sunset. The condo kitchen is well supplied and overall it’s really nice. It was a bit dirtier than I’d expected based off of photos - but that’s things like the walls and baseboards. The sheets and towels were all obviously newly cleaned and the couches looked like they’d been steam cleaned as well. We’d definitely stay again!

We won’t miss a summer staying at North Coast Village and I think the is the unit we want every time! Loved the location to the beach, pool, laundry, and parking. It was clean and spacious with the best view, plenty of towels, and quiet neighbors who live there full time! They are so lucky! Can’t wait until next year!

Mediocre unit in beautiful complex

We have spent many vacations at North Coast Village over 20 years and have rented many different units. The property is beautiful and perfectly located near the harbor and pier. We were very disappointed in this unit compared to others we’ve stayed in. The entire unit has carpet that is in need of replacement - preferably with hard flooring that doesn’t get dirty or worn by salt and sand. It just makes the unit feel dirty. Many other units have been renovated - this one has not. The bathrooms and kitchen are run-down and old. There are no ceiling fans and the kitchen is not well-stocked. Couldn’t get cable to work. The views are pretty and the price is right but I would pay a little more next time to get an updated, nicer unit.

Great location!

This place was perfect for our first ever family beach vacation. The propety itself is so cool with walkways, flowing water, tropical plants, and koi fish that you can feed. The beach was so close and easy to get to. Our unit was perfect for our family. We would definitely stay here again!!
