First the pros: The room was very clean, it was nicely decorated and seemed to be newly remodeled with nice floors, bathroom fixtures etc. The host replied to my texts promptly. The property was fairly close to several restaurants to choose from and was in what seemed to be a nice and safe neighborhood. My main con and reason for the 4 stars, was even tho they made a point of saying the wall between the apt and house was sound proof, it clearly was not. Early in the stay I heard their dogs barking ( which wasn't an issue for me, I love dogs), but later that night after I had gone to bed I was awakened at 11:00 at night by loud voices/noises that to me sounded very unusual in their content and that lasted for an hr. When I contacted the host the next day, she explained that it was a surprise birthday party for her and prayer meeting, they thought I was out to dinner and not in the apt and that it is usually very quiet. I will give her the benefit of the doubt. My only other minor suggestions to make it nicer would be to change the walkway to the door from stone and stepstones to something more solid. In the dark, I could see it being a little hazardous.
