We stayed here for 3 days in October 2021 and absolutely fell in love with it. My wife and I stayed in two bedroom suite with our friend and enjoyed every moment of it. Bedrooms are private and fully separated with a common living area and a balcony. It is perfectly design to have a rest, and a great living area in between to hangout and socialize. The hotel is very nice, cozy and clean. It is uniquely designed having each room and floors representing different themes. The staff was friendly, very helpful and absolutely amazing, shout out to the team, especially Alex at the receptionist area, Irina, Oksana the manager, and Alex who gave us a ride to the train station and airport. Hotel is conveniently located for activities and restaurants right in the city center of Odessa in a walking distance to the historical Potemkin's stairs, Opera, Privoz, Deribasovskaya Str, gardens. While staying there, we highly recommend to visit restaurant Kumanets with such a delicious Ukrainian cuisine ($) and Oblako ($$) with a beautiful 360 degree view of Odessa and sea port. We highly recommend it - you will not regret!

It was our first time visiting Odessa, and we did not want to stay on one of the busier streets. We wanted something private, yet close to the old city center. Basically, we were trying to avoid all the touristy crowds. We chose Frederic Koklen Hotel and loved it! It's located only one block from the main street and within maybe a 10-min walking distance to Deribasovska St. The hotel is old-style glamor but with modern amenities - it does not feel old. It's clean, private, and glamorous. Both of our rooms were lovely; bathrooms were gorgeous. Chocolates on our pillows were a sweet and appreciated surprise! We dined in the restaurant twice - once for dinner and then later for breakfast. Dinner was great - yummy food and fast service (for Ukraine). Breakfast we loved just as much, if not better. Coffee was excellent (we got 3 each!) and all the food was delicious. It was really a home away from home. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel, good location
We stayed for 3 nights in this very historic hotel. The service was pretty good and the staff had good English skills. Both seem to be very rare in Ukraine. Everything was perfectly clean, after some adjustments the AC was working (also rare before June here) and the breakfast was fine. The breakfast service could've been a little bit better, most things were not refilled without asking for it. We still don't know if it was possible to get coffee from the "good" machine as nobody was offering coffee to us. Still, that wa the best breakfast we had in Ukraine (4 hotels in 4 cities), We will definitely come back on our next visit to Odessa.

Located in an opulently restored building close to the main tourist area, Fredric Koklen Hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. The upgraded room was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice staff. So helpful.
It was just a shame that no milk was provided with the tea and coffee tray. We had to keep going over the road to buy it. It was pretty annoying to be given fancy sweets in a presentation box - which we didn't want - but no milk for tea.

So sorry not to be staying longer. Everything was first class. Had organised through the hotel a transfer from airport to hotel. Taxi driver waited for more than an hour after expected time of arrival as our luggage seemed to take forever to appear on luggage belt at airport. Having checked in at reception we were then told our luggage was now in our bedroom. Staff in all areas could not have done any more for us.

とにかくホスピタリティが良く真のホテルマンでした！
着いた瞬間、なんておしゃれなホテルなんだ！と。場所もいいし、夜行で朝に着いたのに、すぐに部屋を用意してくれるし、過ごしやすい！観光で出ちゃうのもったいないなぁ、と思ってたら、なんと転んで骨折をしてしまい、人生初の骨折に絶望してたら、フロントの女性が夜遅いにも関わらず緊急病院を探して、一緒に行ってくれました。本当に心強く、また親切に接していただき、有り難かったです（お金も立て替えてくれていた。そして、チェックアウト時に精算。ちなみに保険なしで7000円ほどでした）。翌日のスタッフもクスリを買って来てくれたり、航空会社に電話してくれたり、全員が親切でした。最後の一日をホテルで過ごすことになったのですが、改めて見るとバリアフリーで快適でした！！！このホテルだったから、異国で観光もせず閉じこもっていても、心折れずに過ごせたと思います。宿泊費的にも朝食はすごい美味しいし（ここで、ウクライナ料理を食べられたし）本当におすすめです！！！！

Hotel estilo retro pero con mucho encanto
Es un pequeño hotel de solo 17 habitaciones, lo que lo hace encantador. O bien es nuevo, o recientemente reformado. Todo muy cuidado, limpio y con una decoración retro. Personal muy amable y con muy buen dominio del inglés. La habitación en la que estuve era muy espaciosa y la cama muy confortable. Las almohadas demasiado blandas para mi gusto. La TV grande, pero con muy mala señal y carente de programas internacionales. El baño moderno, nuevo y limpio. Buenas toallas y artículos de higiene. El desayuno podría ser algo más variado, pero suficiente. El restaurante tiene una limitada selección de platos, pero con un excelente nivel en la preparación de los mismos. Muy recomendable (tanto el hotel como el restaurante). Si vuelvo a este desino, no dudaré en volver.

조식 훌륭하고 깨끗,따뜻합니다. 침대도 탄탄하고요, 직원들도 친절합니다. 위치가 중심지에서 약간 떨어져 있지만 천천히 걸어서 5분 정도면 충분합니다. 거리는 안전합니다. 길이 어둡다고 해서 위험할 것은 없습니다. 창 밖의 전경은 볼것이 없습니다. 기대하지 마세요. 부띠끄호텔이어서 스포츠 시설,수영장은 없습니다.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
This is my second stay at the hotel and I will be back. It is a short distance away from the City centre. The Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel suits all my needs and is also very good value for money.

Extremely good hotel
This is the best hotel I have ever been! And I have been in many 5-star hotels. The personnel is excellent. Room was nicely "old-fashion". Breakfast was very good. The only complaint I need to give is, that there was not heating at October. Well, maybe I could had asked a extra-heater but I don't did that. In October at daytime there was nearly a summer in Odessa. But at nights even so cold as 3 degrees. So, when there is also wet (Black Sea) it was rather cold at nights. Well, bedclothes were excellent but still. But in every other aspects this hotel is so excellent you can ever dream.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel!
Die Zeit, die wir in diesem Hotel verbringen durften, verging leider viel zu schnell. Wir haben es sehr genossen, die Einrichtung war sehr klassisch aber gepflegt. Der Service war überragend und die Angestellten waren immer sehr bemüht. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und mit ukrainischen Spezialitäten versehen. Es wurde immer wieder nachgefüllt und die Qualität der Speisen war sehr hochwertig. Wir würden sofort wieder in dieses Hotel absteigen. Sehr sehr zu empfehlen!!

Great Small hotel close to city center.
Great small hotel located in more local section on outskirts of tourist area. Close to everything. Hotel is in great shape, clean, staff is more than great. A mix of local folks, some tourists and business travelers. Rooms were well appointed,with absolute great bathrooms and bedding. A true find. Do not let the worn out neighborhood deter you from staying at this hotel. A small price to stay in such a great property

Yet Another Badly Managed Boutique Hotel
I stayed in this hotel 6 nights. Usually I don't make comments about the hotels I stayed but my experience in this hotel was a great disappointment so I needed to make comments to inform other travelers who may consider this hotel for booking. My observations about this hotel are as below. 1. When I arrived at the hotel, I was charged with 3 day breakfast price without asking my agreement. Later I decided to leave the hotel after three nights. The hotel's first reaction was that I should make my booking change through Expedia and the hotel has nothing to do with the Expedia bookings. When I checked Expedia booking change/cancellation policy, I saw that Expedia is nothing to do with this process and change/cancellation policy is only applicable for no show-up cases and changing the booking dates after check-in is totally up to the hotel. 2. Breakfast was limited and low quality. Most of the food was not looking fresh and they looked like leftovers from the day before. Especially bread, fruits, etc. The breakfast room was smelly. 3. Most importantly, there is no sound isolation at all in the hotel. I was almost hearing everything in the corridor and other rooms. Television, baby crying, door slamming, etc. 4. Hotel personnel locks the main door after midnight so whenever you need to exit/enter the hotel after midnight you need to wait for a clerk to come and open the door. 5. Hotel price is expensive for its quality and location. Location is at a strange place.

Surpassed all expectations
Very clean, modern, well equipped, comfy bed and pillows. They thought about every detail in the room, for example, few levels of curtains so bright sun will not disturb sleep; kettle, set of teas, mini bar and room service - so you can stay and enjoy your evening in the room. The friendliest staff ever and ready to meat any of your requests.
