During my stay at the Hampton Inn Oklahoma City Northeast, I experienced several issues that affected the quality of the stay.
I discovered multiple bugs on the bedding, including on the pillow and blankets, and counted approximately five. I took photos and reported the issue immediately to the front desk. We were moved to another room afterward.
Prior to that, I had also reported several maintenance and cleanliness concerns through the hotel’s text service. These included a light bulb that popped and produced smoke, a loose sink nozzle that would not properly turn the water on, loud plumbing noise when flushing the toilet, and a bathroom and sink area that did not appear to have been properly cleaned.
While I appreciate that we were moved to another room after reporting the bugs, the overall handling of the situation and the follow-up afterward were disappointing. I documented the concerns and escalated them through Hilton Guest Assistance, but the final resolution offered was minimal and the case was closed without additional review.
I have generally had positive experiences staying with Hilton properties, which is why this experience was surprising. My hope is that this feedback helps ensure that maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and guest reports are addressed more thoroughly in the future.
