“Overall I liked hotel. It is quaint hotel with some minor repairs needed. The room was very nice with a bathroom toilet the ran about every 6 hours. The pool was not available.”

“Lovely location with beachfront access. Each room is different. Ours was well appointed throughout, with pleasant mountain themed furnishings. Office closed quite early and opened late ,apparently due to " off season ". Didn't receive that information, so check in was somewhat confusing .”

“This place is overpriced, dirty feeling, dark, and staff assistance non existent. No wifi except piggy backing off the casino. The casino is a small and dingy as well. I do not recommend. 40 min from Reno with the fastest way driving back to 80 in Cali - Truckee.”

“God:location. Bad: very dirty and very, very smelly rooms. a very hard box spring bed with dirty sheets and smelly blankets.”

“The property itself is gorgeous but the real bonus is the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable mattress, quiet in the evening, Dry Sauna very enjoyable, on-site restaurant a bit pricy but delicious food and great wine list. Easy access to historic downtown Truckee and on the route for TART (free transportation for the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee area) Only "downside" was that the WiFi in the room was slow, so using streaming services on the TV was difficult. But that actually helped us...

“Basecamp is a good hotel for the money. The room was clean with good condition rustic style furniture and desk. I had a bit of time get the TV to work. One I understood it worked great. The bathroom was in good condition and didn’t have any issues with it.”

“Very nice hotel with the basics. Clean rooms, friendly staff, not many amenities. Sheets were scratchy but not unusable. The disappointment was the breakfast. You had a choice between yogurt, oatmeal, a sandwich or a breakfast burrito served with a side of what you can tell were frozen tater tots. I’d say skip the breakfast and come for the scenery. The location is beautiful and the price is very reasonable. ”

“Very clean bed sheet, blanket, floor, bathroom and shower. Staff were very polite, helpful and nice. Air condition and heater working fine. The room door had little opening at the bottom where the ants got in during the day and night. No table and chair which made us sit on the bed all the time. No rack for placing luggage therefore we had to place our luggage on the floor. No continental breakfast and coffee machine in the room. Not much channel variety on TV. Old movies and not easy to operate...

“The staff were genuine and attentive (complimentary champagne!!), beautiful views, fantastic continental breakfast and friendly wildlife (we saw a bear on the back patio!!). Would not hesitate to stay again.”
