My entire family, ages ranging from 1-61, stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days to attend a family member’s wedding in the area. The home was absolutely gorgeous, so roomy and had tons of amenities, and the most beautiful views off the deck. We ended up here during Hurricane Helene and as we were not prepared whatsoever, we made due. I would recommend planning most of your meals to be cooked here at the house, as it’s quite an adventure to get to the nearest town for anything. Plenty of games and toys for the little ones, books, hot tub, etc. Would highly recommend fr your next vacation!
Step 1: make sure you read the listing description. This is a fantastic, fully-equipped home with a brilliant view. The view comes from being on top of a mountain - which means you'll need to drive up some hills. Roads are in great condition and the directions are clear. Just keep that in mind in case you are not comfortable with mountain driving. Property is very well maintained, with plenty of firewood and meal-prep ready kitchen. Kids LOVED having the downstairs to play as well as a big driveway with a basketball hoop. Elena was prompt and easy to communicate with, no issues. House stayed warm. Yes, water does run hot - just be an adult about it ;) . Hot tub was clean and worked great. Mix of bedrooms & beds was great for a family of 11 (5 kids from 4-13, 4 adults, 2 grand parents). Fridge & freezer big enough to hold 3 meals. Would not change a thing. We plan to come back in the Fall. And spring. And maybe summer. Enjoy!
We stayed with 10 family members who all attended our wedding. The drive up to the cabin took almost 25 minutes. Make sure your car is equipped to handle steep roads and you got some good tires because one of our family's cars got stuck and couldnt make it up the driveway.
We used the bon fire pit out front and the pool table in the basement. It needs new pool sticks because none of them have felt tips and that made it hard to play. We also couldnt figure out how to work the mini split heaters but I realized later that the owner did send instructions on that during check in so keep an eye out for that link.
Lots of light bulbs were out throughout the house. So many it made it hard to see in some areas at night. I think the chandelier upstairs only had one bulb working out of the 8 or 9.
The kitchen had everything you needed or could think of. We made dinner for 12 people one night.
The cabin had plenty of space for everyone, wifi worked well, the massage chair was nice.
THE WATER GETS HOT. I love taking hot showers, but this water gets so hot that it could cause burn injuries. Washing the dishes I burnt my hand. My husband grabbed the nossle for the sprayer in the sink and the metal was so hot he burnt his hand from the hot water. I also burnt my hand brushing my teeth. BE CAREFUL.
My mom said she stripped her bed in the basement before leaving because usually cabins want you to do that before checkout, and her mattress had blood stains all over it.
Besides those fe
We had a great time here! The entire house was exceptionally clean, and there was plenty of space for our group of 11 to cook and relax. We would definitely book again!
Everyone found the location to be fairly easy to find and a beautiful view. Communication was easy and prompt. Fairly well appointed home for large families. We had a great weekend together celebrating our 40th anniversary with our kids and grandkids. Wonderful memories..great pictures and will look forward to booking again
This home is simply incredible! It’s a very large home with so much space, and the log cabin design motif is carried throughout the entire home. We held our extended family Christmas gathering here, and it easily accommodated our large group.
We LOVED our stay! The location had beautiful views and it was perfect for a weekend away with family. There were plenty of activities including a firepit, hot tub and extra large tv (which was perfect for football!). We had a great time and plan to book again!
We had a good stay at this property. The house was beautiful and it fit our needs. The home owners thoughtfully provided items that made the stay more comfortable.
Was a wonderful week with family. The house was wonderful for a large family. Lots of room to have your own space. Loved the porch and hot tub. We had a fire and smores at the fire pit one evening. kitchen was wonderful for cooking and feeding a large family. Took day trips and hikes within the development as well as Blue Ridge Parkway and Black Mountain.
This mountain cabin was perfect for our crew—six adults, four kids, and two dogs. Sitting way up high with an unreal mountain view, it honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The huge deck with plenty of chairs, a table, and the hot tub quickly became everyone’s favorite hangout spot.Inside, the layout worked great for a big group. Two master bedrooms, plenty of extra rooms and beds, cozy living spaces with a big stone fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking for a crowd super easy. There were more than enough bathrooms, which definitely helped keep mornings smooth. We also loved the pool table and the outdoor fire pit—ideal for s’mores and late-night chats under the stars. One of the best parts was how dog-friendly the cabin was. No hassle, no weird rules—just thoughtful touches like water bowls that made traveling with pets so much easier. The whole place was clean, comfy, and incredibly peaceful, but still close to trails, a fishing pond, and a waterfall. If you want a fun, relaxing group getaway where everyone (including the pups) feels right at home with amazing mountain views, this cabin is a total winner. Highly recommend!
The house was amazing. It was clean and well stocked. Sitting outside on the deck was soo relaxing, we didn't want to leave. The owner was patient and provided lots of ideas for things to do in the area. You can't go wrong staying here.
The location was amazing. So beautiful and peaceful. The house was gorgeous, the pictures didn’t even do it justice. The front porch was excellent for hanging out, the back deck provided an incredible view, and the many different amenities like the fire pit and hot tub were utilized and enjoyed! The kitchen was labeled clearly helping us find what we needed and the only thing we wished it had that it didn’t was a crock pot which was totally fine! The dining area was spacious and even had a high chair which was wonderful for our 1 year old! No straps or tray but we just pulled it over to the table and he did great. The pool table and massage chair were both used quite a bit during our stay. No complaints about any of the bedrooms. Our only issue in the house was with the water, if two people try to shower in different bathrooms one of the showers will cut off. But the owners did warn of water supply issues so you just need to be mindful of making sure only one person is using water in the house at a time. The hike to the waterfall that is within the gated community was not too difficult and so worth it. We were able to take our 3 small children with only an occasional stumble but the waterfall was beautiful to see. I can’t say enough good things about this property. I wish our stay had been longer!
The house is wonderful and it is perfectly situated in the mountains. We rented the home to spend a few days together and then to host my daughter's wedding in the great room. Needless to say, the setting was perfect and the owners were very supportive of our plan! Thank you immensely for the opportunity and the great home. This is the perfect get-away location.
This was a family vacation for us. 9 adults, one infant and two dogs. The house suited our needs very well. The massage chair was a big hit! The drive up and down the mountain is challenging
if you don't have the right kind of automobile and are not familiar with mountain driving. Communication with the host was very efficient especially when power was lost and our oldest was there with his infant. I do have to note that the walkway up to the house is uneven so beware. We had one son suffer a sprained ankle. I would also like to note that the location of the house to Asheville, grocery store and Black mountain is a tedious drive up and down the mountain. This is a good house just to stay put. The local hike to the waterfall is a must do.
We recently spent 5 nights at this beautiful home. We really enjoyed the “off the grid” location and at the dead end of a street was wonderful. We all fought over the massage chair in the basement (that was a huge hit) along with the hot tub! Any questions we had were answered immediately. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Our family of 7 couldn't have had a better time at this property. The communication with the property manager was excellent and the property had everything you could possibly need. We were able to see all kinds of wildlife (including bears!) and could fish. Renting the ATV is a must.....Should we travel this way again, we definitely will want to stay here!
Had a great weekend at this place. The house is amazing and the owner extremely prompt. Only issue was gate access because of a phone line that got damaged.
Highly recommend
Our family of 10, plus a 16 month old, enjoyed our week at this beautiful cabin. Elena was an amazing host with the best communication I’ve experienced on a rental website. From making sure we were covered in regards to high chairs, baby gate, and pack ‘n play if needed… to sending someone out same day when one of the showers wouldn’t heat, she was on it! Would definitely stay again and recommend this property to others! Thanks so much Elena!
