Cute House -2 Blocks from Beach

  • Small clean and quiet 2-bedroom 2-bath house on a hill within walking distance to the beach. 2 blocks to beach. There is a small porch overlooking the street, a large TV w/ streaming, comfortable beds, grill, beach chairs, linens, towels, and new appliances. All within a half mile of the pier.
    Note: The house has stairs leading up to the main living area. Humans and dogs have to be able to navigate stairs. The master bedroom is downstairs. The house is small, but the upstairs is light and sunny. It was built in the 1940s, so it's not brand new. It has hardwood floors, and it is built into a hill. There is a side yard up the hill. Easy parking for 2 cars.
    Definitely not a party house, as the neighborhood is quiet.

Great location - very short walk to the beach, plenty of natural light - and beautiful artwork and houseplants decorate the space. Perfect for our short Thanksgiving “getaway” - had everything we needed - would definitely stay here again!

Such a great place!

We really enjoyed staying at Jan's place! She was a great host, with a place that we enjoyed being at. It wasn't far from the beach either! We'd definitely stay there again!

For a smaller house, it met all our needs. We stayed busy every day sightseeing and came back to sleep. Beds were comfortable and we rested well. The upstairs bathroom was small but it took care of our needs. The area was very quaint and close to the beach which was beautiful in the early morning and before sunset. We had a pleasant stay.

Exactly what we needed

The house was in a quiet area less than a 5min walk to the beach. The bed in the basement was very comfortable (I definitely needed the sleep).

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, off the main strip so it is quiet but also 3 minute walk to the beach and 10 to the main intersection. Would really recommend!

We loved this house! It had everything we could have needed, great location, clean, and was perfect for our needs. So close to everything yet a quiet very pleasant neighborhood. Would for sure stay here again.

This is a quaint, cost-effective 2 BR property that is walking distance to the beach, decent food options and conveniently located to explore the surrounding area including Portland up to Boothbay Harbor, or down to Kennebunkport. If you have issues w/ stairs, this might not be the place for you (we were fine). The owner was very nice and helpful.

Perfect weekend in fall

The place is cozy, well decorated and makes you feel right at home. On a very calm street, it's a 5 minutes walk to the beach and to the superb memorial park, the perfect place for our energic Frenchie. We totally recommend this place!

Nice place just off the beach.

Overall this property is very nice. Convenient to restaurants and stores. Quick 5 minute walk to the beach. This property has everything you need to stay in or venture out.

We loved it here. It's very close to the ocean a short walk as well as short walk to the strip. Very quiet neighborhood and great 2 person balcony!! Had everything we needed and more!!

Great Place to Stay at Old Orchard Beach- close to everything!

We stayed here for a long weekend in June and just loved it! There is a large full kitchen with 2 large bedrooms and plenty of storage space, and having 2 bathrooms was awesome. It's just a short walk to the beach and all the attractions and restaurants, yet quiet and away from all the chaos. Jan is the best, and quick to answer any questions that come up. We are definitely coming back!

great getaway

stayed with my wife her daughter and boyfriend. wonderful beach access. one block from all the action down on the boardwalk.had everything we needed.Nice and cozy.weather didn't cooperate but that was out of anyones control. still enjoyed our stay and would do it again tommorow.great place to stay wonderful balcony to sit on in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Excellent OOB Getaway...

Our family had a very delightful stay on this property. Its' convenient location on a quiet street made access to and from the beach very reasonable by foot. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was quite well equipped for cooking (one or two larger-sized pots would have made it even better). Access to a BBQ at the back was a nice touch, as was the mini-patio on the 2nd floor where we enjoyed coffee in the morning. All in all, we were very pleased with Jan's rental property and would definitely consider staying there again!

Nice cottage, a bit on the funky side but pleasant. 2 blocks from the beach. Could definitely use a new couch, fix the front door, and better bedside lighting. Note that the damage deposit was 1500 which was actually charged to my credit card before we arrived and I didn’t get the money back for more than 2 weeks later. A nice float for someone but I had to cover it because of my cards billing cycle. VRBO says this is their policy. Seems wrong to me. Anyway, a nice place.
