“On arrival our room was upgraded to a large seaview room with a walk in shower which was a very nice welcome. The Pump room bar is excellent with a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food both at breakfast and in the evening venues is top notch. Dining is a particular highlight which should not be missed with a very good menu expertly prepared and served to a really high standard.

“Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us!
Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away.
Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve!
We will definitely return.”

“The staff on checking in weren’t too friendly and rushed through all details - we had to ask to repeat some details. He didn’t know we had pre-paid for buffet breakfast so had to find details of booking to show him. The staff on in the morning were totally different; very friendly and helpful.
