Hotel con piscina a Old Town

“This hotel was extremely dirty. The amount of hair built up on the baseboards in the bathrooms was unacceptable. Stains on the towels. No one has wiped anything down or mopped in 100 years. Pool was dirty, no lounge chairs and the jacuzzi was closed. -Probably for health and safety reasons. My family and I left immediately upon entering the room. We decided driving the extra hours home in the dead of night was worth it.”

“I love small older family owned hotels and this was the best of the best. Wonderful staff and owner, nice room, great pool and it is on a hill looking down onto the riverfront where they have a bait, tackle and gift store with a restaurant inside for breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast there both days, it was very good with homemade biscuits. You can put your boat in right there, and several other restaurants in walking distance. We had a great stay and they have a full coffee pot in each...

“We absolutely loved our stay at this condo. It was incredibly clean and comfortable, and walkable to all of the shops and restaurants in town. We brought a boat, for which there was ample, easy parking, and a place to wash it off after a day on the water. Everything about the stay was easy and nice. The hosts were very communicative prior to the stay, sending detailed instructions about the must-know things which I'm glad we payed attention to since there are no grocery stores in town. ...

“What a welcoming feeling walking into The Cranes Nest; after the climb upstairs all we wanted to do was sit on the balcony and marvel at the views- SO worth it! The location is perfect- we walked everywhere. Something to consider is that the closest “real” grocery store is about a 20 minute drive; plan ahead! I think my favorite part of the stay was all the different birds we spotted from the balcony- thanks for the binoculars; I didn’t have to fight with my husband over the pair we brought!”
