“The YMCA hotel was well situated. It’s in a good location with the bus and a subway station within walking distance or you can catch a bus to go the two stops to the subway. But it is located at the top of a hill. The front desk employees are very helpful. The rooms are basic but comfortable. ”

Perfetta anche la posizione: in un attimo sei dentro il Bukchon Hanok Village, nel mezzo tra i Palazzi di Gyeongbokgung e Changdeokgung.
Ho scelto di fare l'esperienza completa, quindi anche se viaggiamo in coppia abbiamo preso 2 stanze separate per stare nel dormitorio femminile e in quello maschile.
Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti da una receptionist gentilissima che ci ha illustrato tutto il necessario in un perfetto inglese.
Per accedere al dormitorio è necessario lasciare le scarpe nell'armadio e indossare le ciabatte fornite come in una tipica casa coreana. La stanza, anche se in formato capsule, aveva spazi adeguati e tutto disponibile: asciugamani, yukata e set ecologico per i denti (spazzolino in legno e compressa di dentifricio). Sono forniti anche i tappi per le orecchie nel caso i vicini siano maleducati e non rispettino il luogo (non è permesso parlare al telefono in camera).
La colazione è stata una esperienza strepitosa: una cucina a isola centrale con dietro 2 chef che preparano a vista degli ospiti in continuazione prelibatezze per tutta la durata della colazione.
Appena rientrata da questo viaggio ho consigliato a tutte le amiche di soggiornare qui!

"Il Moxy è una struttura unica perchè unisce uno stile giovane e molto "trendy" ai pregi di un hotel di fascia alta. Bar sul tetto, sala giochi e intrattenimento gratuita, lavanderia e stanze grandi, moderne e pulite. Il tutto mixato in uno stile pop pieno di neon, musica e street art di lusso. Unico difetto - o pregio, dipende da cosa vi piace - la sera la strada diventa il centro della vita notturna con decine di venditori di street food, fritto ovunque, tavoli, tavolini tanto che si cammina a stento. Un caos... ma questa zona di Seoul di notte è fatta così! Per muoversi in città la metro è praticamente davanti all'entrata e le stradine tipiche di Myeongdong sono a pochi metri. Ottimo!"
