They were the sweetest…accommodating and welcoming! They had milk, water, snacks and even a bottle of wine waiting for us! VERY much appreciated after a long day of travel. “The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car”

“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

“Casa Cerete. Soggiornato fine Agosto, casa pratica comoda e soprattutto molto pulita, ben rifinita e adatta ad ospitare animali di piccola taglia. La mia cagnolina faceva la guardia come se sintesse a casa propria. La comunicazione con Antonio e la sua compagna è stata a dir poco eccellente con consigli su itinerari e cose da fare nei d'intorni. Esperienza da ripetere anche in altre stagioni.
